It's a remmake of the original Myst game which is like the most famous point and click game through PC history :v:
Would you guys recommend realMyst?
Looks like fun exploring it.
It's a really good game if you're into the genre, but the story and the lore is so weird I haven't been able to wrap my head around it but I'm sure it's awesome once you get it

I would say read the books, but part of the is reconned.
myst storyline is pretty simple if you read all the books compared to the URU story line which is where Myst the game exists and the creators of cyan found the works of atrus and the cavern and based the game around it. This would leave a possible plot twist within URU if you knew the myst storyline, but it never reached that point in URU.
If there is enough income in cyan's future from obduction and enough public funding to reach mystonline (which is uru) to the level to hire people to work on it besides servers, then more URU which has been made but not released and be put into the game as well as add new content.

Also to note, the game is free now (thanks to people donating to keeping it alive).
I don't know if I suggested it to brutalmoose before, but it might be fun to live stream it, better if he has friends to help, (there are puzzles which require it).

But is it as fun as the discworld point and clicks?

Entirely different setting, genre of story and theme - it's not funny, it's more deep and serious while discworld is based on some really great comedy-fantasy-mix novels.
I played through realMyst Masterpiece yesterday, and have to admit that it looks too much like a Unity game. Walking around Myst at night with the flashlight (by the way, flashlight? What?) gave too much of a Slender mood to it.
I will give it credit, though, a majority of the visuals are greatly improved, [sp]Rime[/sp] especially.

Especially considering [sp]Rime wasn't in the original Myst.[/sp]

I don't agree with that.

Yeah, the flashlight is a bit odd, but seems somewhat necessary since there are day/night cycles. I don't have a final opinion on it yet. I need to play more of it, first.
I do like that there's classic and free roam options, though. That's pretty badass.
Hey Moose, any thoughts on the new Octodad?
Hey Moose, any thoughts on the new Octodad?
I watched some streamers blind race it last night and it looked like they had a good time. Looks like something that I'd only enjoy streaming or among friends.
Looks like something that I'd only enjoy streaming
please stream it
Haha maybe. Maybe. I do have a stream tentatively planed for the near future which could be fun... maybe I'll download Octodad for when/if I get too drunk to handle the other game(s).

Octodad looks like the one game you shouldn't play without fine motor skills.

Yeah but it also sounds like it would be fun to yell at while wasted.
I'd be your second controller if I could Moose.

Octodad looks like the one game you should definitely play without fine motor skills.

Haha. It's Tumblr, I kind of expect it. Most are actually pretty good, or at least fun to answer.
