Someone from here gifted it to me a while back, if I remember correctly, but I haven't had a chance to play it, yet. So many Steam games, not enough time...
You really should give it a try, it is a pretty fantastic game and designing a base & all those traps is so damn much fun. I'd be willing to see you drop a normal video or two if you gave it a go. Might get more people interested in it too.
Plus, the music is amazing, you can't go wrong when James Hannigan is involved

Can't go wrong with the menu music either.

I believe we may be getting a new video soon guys. Keep on the lookout!
Everytime I go to play Evil Genius, I just can't stop myself from saying "God this is such a great game"
Just watching the minions train is great, god dammit such a fucking good game.

Welp...I guess I'm grabbing it this week maybe.
Tell me more about it? Anything that could be considered annoying?
I set my pop to 500 and build massive corridors. it's beautiful.
Pro Tip: never get Red Ivan.

I'd say the most annoying thing about the game is that there's no random island generation, you're stuck with the same 3 islands of the main campaign.

- There are bugs in the game, download the patches (official, unofficial)
- Never ever fucking get Red Ivan, he uses a bazooka that can and will kill your minions and it can and will set your base constantly on fire.
- Traps affect your minions, so if you use a highly complex trap setup with lethal traps, your minions may get caught and killed. They don't trigger them (pressure plates, laser wires, motion sensors) unless they have low stats: This can be dealt with by building break rooms and such.
- You start the game with your bank vault outside the mountain, when you get the chance build it inside. Less likely enemy agents steal your stolen gold back that way.
- #1 best trap in the game is the wind turbine. When activated, it blows all units in a 9 square line back to 9 squares away. If there's a wall (not enough room, AKA not 9 tile long corridor) they hit the wall and take minor damage. Wind turbine is the best because as long as you don't do damage to enemy agents, they have nothing illegal to pin against you: They leave after some minutes of trying to break into your base (and failing constantly) and your heat level doesn't rise.
- Keep an eye out on your heat level. It is very important. It rises when enemy agents that visit your isle see something illegal (body bags, weapons, etc.) or when you do missions on the global scale. The higher your heat is, the more and better agents are sent to investigate: If you ever see a grup of 7 elite soldiers come at your way, expect major fucking losses.
- Henchmen have 3 lives, and normal enemy agents don't kill them, they simply stun them instead. Super Agents kill them though, so if your henchman dies 3 times to a super agent, say goodbye to it.
Here's the wiki, use it. Mess with the game files to increase your population limit, 100 is more than enough early in the game but after several hours when you have a massive base, 100 minions will feel very empty.
[editline]windy[/editline]
Here's a crap mspaint pic that tells how the wind trap works
Yellow things are doors, blue circles are pressure plates (link them to wind machines), red things are the turbines (red lines show how far they push the unit), pink room can be anything you want, I usually keep it as barracks. Green box shows where the enemy agents usually spend 90% of their time.
Idea behind this is that the enemy units walk over a pressure plate, wind blows them back, they try again, repeat. When the agents slowly learn where the paltes are, they are able to roll over them: This can be dealt with by making a shitton of pressure plates, more for them to remember by trial-and-error. If the agents breach the second door, they find a new set of wind turbines: When triggered by them, they get blown to the first corridor, trigger the plates there, and the first turbines blow them right back to the first door.
None of your minions get killed accidentally by this trap, enemy agents never get hurt so their heat level doesn't rise, and they don't need to be killed (because they leave when bored of wind) so your freezer room won't get filled with bodybags.
Go wild with the traps, the game has a system that gives you money when your traps combo:
2 combo trap - Nefarious, +$100 cash
3 combo trap - Malevolent, +$200 cash
4 combo trap - Villonous, +$300 cash
5 combo trap - Heinous, +$400 cash
6 combo trap or higher trap - Genius, +$500 cash
This actually means it is possible to make über traps that are constantly pushing enemies aside using wind, and these can be used to generate money endlessly, but they're really hard to build.
I was expected moose to say "bye......ble" at the end
That episode was great. One of your best.
Hope you guys liked it! I know it took forever, buuut I've been busy on multiple things. Also, I tried to be as non-offensive as possible, haha.
I have to ask, how did you make the 'GODLY THIGHS' sound so retro?

Yeah, talking about anything bordering Politics, racial slang, or Religion means treading through a minefield. and one of those forgotten minefields from the Worlds Wars too.

It was great. How on earth did you get so far into that "game" without wanting to bash your own head in?
I have to ask, how did you make the 'GODLY THIGHS' sound so retro?
It's an effect called bitcrusher, and you could probably find it on most audio production programs... I used Audition. From what I can tell, it just downsamples the audio. Pretty neat!

Yeah... before scripting I actually watched all 3 of AVGN's Bible Games episode to get a feel for how he got away with it. Basically just ended up focusing on the just the game. There were a couple of jokes that I did end up cutting to be safe, but it appears like I haven't offended anyone so far, so that's good.

Taking a shot in the dark, but I believe he used bit crunching there.

I've been playing The Sims 3 to relax, lately. Not sure what my next episode is going to be yet, but I have a few ideas...

I say you did a good job, but honestly someone is going to find your video offensive somehow, someway.
But that's just a part of the internet for ya.

It doesn't seem that relaxing to me if people keep coming into your house at night and start randomly playing the piano.

Play Frog Fractions.
Game of a generation, really.
Play Captain Crunches Crunchling Adventure!
Taco Bell Tasty Temple Challenge is a game worth checking out.

So far I haven't seen anyone say that they were offended... but the comments section is still horrible haha. Classic YouTube.
Did you make Uniqorno a character? :v:
I did not, but I did just marry a movie star just so I can divorce him and keep his house. Moving on up in the world.

Hmm... possibly. My next video out should be a Top 5, if all goes according to plan. Been working with someone for a loooong time to get this one done. Should be pretty big for me, actually, I'm excited.
Play Frog Fractions.
