Thanks Ian, you helped to place where some of my old dinosaur gaming memories are from! There was another dinosaur game that I may never figure out, but you helped me get half way there.
Ian should revisit Zoo Tycoon at a later date if he gets his hands on the expansions.
I only played it as a demo when I was a kid, so when I managed to find the Complete Collection (or Gold Edition as it was called here) by complete accident, I instantly snatched it up and went to town with the aquatic and dinosaur bits. Really great stuff honestly.
I remember playing Zoo Tycoon when I was younger, that was great. Me and my sister loved abusing the animals because we were too young to actually understand and play the game. Although I doubt I have it around anymore, I know I had the two disks for the Zoo Tycoon Gold Edition somewhere. Probably either rotting in a thrift store at this point or at my mom's house rotting away in her storage boxes for my stuff.

I used to play the dinosaur expansion all the time. I never really built the zoo too well but I did free the T-Rex a lot.
I remember putting all of the animals from the same geographical areas in the same pen and having it be like a circle of life.
All this talk of dinosaurs, zoos, and tycoonery reminded me a lot about DinoPark Tycoon. I still have no idea how that game stole so much of my time..

I remember getting the VHS for this back in 2002 or so at Suncoast Video. It was a pretty good movi- OVA from what I remembered (Besides Sara, always hated her).
Watching the review, it definitely seemed to age pretty decently. the VA kinda sucks, but it was 90's dubbed anime, you can't really fault it that much... I do wonder if I would enjoy it more subbed, as it seems the only thing that really bothers me (Besides Sara) is the VA work.
I fucking love that 90s anime aesthetic, that shit will never age.

Ughghhgg did they really have to include a picture of the Princess pregnant and breastfeeding Eggman babies.
Seeing those colourful Scholastic flyers hit me hard with nostalgia, then I realized I had that exact cat poster to the left of the pictured Yu-Gi-Oh one you wanted, and I even tried to buy the Kid Pix Studio Deluxe I loved on the computers but got ripped off with Kid Pix Deluxe 3. I don't know how he does it, folks.

Scholastic was fucking great. It seems like every single kid had it at school.
