Even PewDiePie got sick of this around 4 i think? When he played for 2 minutes and quit when he realized the game play like the others.
IIRC he did actually play 4 but then there was a bunch of butthurt from his fans because he didn't find it scary or even pretend to be scared and he told them to get over it.

Scott is the Adam Sandler of video games.
Scott is the Adam Sandler of video games.
But Scott has been successful though?
But Scott has been successful though?
"Who cares if it's awful? Scott's obviously found a technique that works for him if he's still making money. I'd do it too if I were him. If you don't like it, you don't have to be a part of it." Replace that common statement with Adam Sandler and it's still the same thing.

When was the last time Adam Sandler was in a successful movie?
If there's one thing Scott really excels at here, it's designing robotic creatures. His older games have some really cool robot designs and FNAF allows him to continue working with that style. They're not all perfect, but he can model some cool looking robots.
These games actually scare the everliving Christ out of me due to a deep-seated and long standing childhood fear of animatronics and robots-gone-rogue stuff. I hate to admit it sometimes (like I feel like I'm taking a risk right now) because I've gotten teased endlessly about it for being scared of a "furfaggoty autist slender-wannabe game" and just do horrible shit to just torment me with it. It's not fun... :( But I mean, I actually kind of like these games (and hate them at the same time) because they're one of the few horror games out there that actually, genuinely, instill fear in me. Amnesia never did that, nor the Silent Hill or Resident Evil games. Soma scared me a tiny bit because of the robot thing, but was dulled by the fact that they had "human minds" in them in some way and just kinda made them like mechanical hivemind zombies to me. But FNAF? Drills right fucking into that fear.
When was the last time Adam Sandler was in a successful movie?
Err, 2015?
Err, 2015?
Which one?
Which one?
Both theatrical releases he was in in 2015 made several hundred million, and The Ridiculous 6 was one of the fastest selling on Netflix.

Heck, I wouldn't mind playing this.
Lots of people are shitting on this game and the series in general because it's being "milked", but honestly all the games in the series except the second one are pretty fun. The fourth one was especially good. It looks like he's planning to go in a new direction here, there's some sci-fi shit going on from the looks of things. It also seems likely there'll be more trailers released at some point. Didn't we have a FNaF thread in general games? Where did that go?
The last one got closed when Facepunch went back to a smaller post limit for threads.
Ah, I would've thought that someone would have made a new one as soon as a new game started being teased.
Ah, I would've thought that someone would have made a new one as soon as a new game started being teased.
It's probably because Facepunch got pretty sick of it pretty quickly. I imagine that there are a few people left on Facepunch who still like the series though.
