I never really like the whole crit system and damage fall off. The fall off doesn't really help and the crit system feels like you get screwed over at the worst times.
I'm half a mind about the crit system. I've always been against random luck winning over skill because luck. But eh. I don't really know. That being said, I stopped playing TF2 a while ago. I guess I just got bored of it. I'd get back into it today but I feel like there's too much in the game that I don't know about since I last left it so meh.
I would kill for a Telltale TF2 game.
Sandvich will remember this.

Like, getting crit killed by some fucker I was about to axestinguish just makes sodium burst from every pore in my body, I hate it that fucking much. I'm fine if it's part of a weapon gimmick like the axetinguisher since it takes some strategy to set it up but if I just randomly get my anus ruined by a medic getting a crit bonesaw strike for no reason other than RNG pissing in my cornflakes then my keyboard ends up in halves.
I think I would have preferred the invasion TF2. It would be cool to see that remade, but I doubt that's ever going to happen.
If crits are such a huge deal on whether one plays TF2 or not, know that there are servers that have crits turned off for your big baby butt convenience.

Unless they've fixed that in the few years I haven't been playing.
Getting killed by the axetinquisher is even more annoying than random crit rockets.
I would've liked to see what Valve would've made with the whole realistic TF2, it reminds me a lot of Arma I always wondered how they would've taken to making a modern military shooter

Some servers have weird ideas of balance, like one I played on had it so heavy's sandvich still instantly healed 150 health when thrown to yourself, and gave crits when you did the objective.
I just wish they had a "Vanilla" game mode where it wouldn't allow any new weapons or something. I like the game how it is now, but i do miss the dynamics it had before all of the updates.

Other people in this world don't know this shit and to them is interesting Just because you've read the history on it and unused content items doesn't mean everyone has
"Let's make some noise" WHAT THE FUCK
"Let's make some noise" WHAT THE FUCK
Another fun-fact about that! When it was first in development, which was some time before the official Mann vs Machine updates, there used to be unreleased soundfiles of Japanese voice clips that translated roughly to phrases of machines breaking past barracks or invading, hinting at the MvM update.
There were some tidbits I surprisingly didn't know, like the Spy being inspired by a glitch. Go figure.
