This will make poisoning the genepool with a blue deformed monstrosity more satisfying all wombs will bare blue fruit
though what always bugged me that you couldnt create truly hideous sims. no matter how disfigured your sim looked, the others always treated him like every other sim
Imagine making a sim that looks exactly like you and you're really proud of it, and then you play the game and everyone laughs at you because you're hidious
in the first game i killed their kid and turned her room into a sex room. can't wait to do it again
In the first game she fell in love with my character so I tried to get her to kiss me just as the guy came into the room. I then put a wall around her as punishment for cheating.

I don't understand why it took so long to do away with them sliders. I don't remember the first game I played that had customization sliders that I played (It was some psone wrestling game I think) but the moment I saw them I thought why use sliders and not just let me click and drag on the model. It's such a simple idea, baffles me why so few games are doing it.

Best hope they have physics otherwise you will have a lady with massive spikes growing out of her chest.
There's that blueprint feature that sounds like what you're talking about in TS3.
Not sure if you can add your own rooms to it but you can definitely place premade rooms with furniture using it.
The fuck why was I never aware of it
Also I checked and it looks like you can create your own premade rooms with the help of a mod, but it takes a while. Also, the blueprint creation is a bit "slow" and you have to work with actual blueprints only to then "realize" it, whereas in Sims 4 you can preview the entire prefab and place it instantly.
I remember one of the Tiger Woods games let you manipulate the face directly and it had crazy granularity, and then every game released after that used sliders (or worse, sliders that move when you change different sliders, fuck those).
Also, with the new system you can make a buff ass roid junkie with noodle legs. Call him "Skip Legdy"
Loving the more Sims 2 looking Sims.
Eh, they still look cartoony. Maybe that's what they're going for, but actually giving the skin a texture wouldn't hurt.
also inb4 inhumanly massive tits and ass
This actually looks good and well done... what happened to the Sims 3 team?
Well Maxis was working on Spore at the time Sims 3 was being made, but Maxis isn't making games atm so they have time to go back to The Sims, same with simcity.
Sims 3 was great and all, but I'm very happy to see the Sims going back to a more Sims 2-esque art style.
Can't wait for the glorious onslaught of Dopefish videos bound to come out of this.
Also its great to see that the Sims can look way more unique now. In 3 they all look pretty samey.
They need to get rid of that fake ass looking facial hair.

I think they are going for the living dolls look since the game is basically a virtual doll house.
Looks cool but it's going to be "empty and bland game at release; spend an extra 200$ if you want to get all the cool stuff again" all over again.

Unfortunately The Sims is aimed (for the most part) at people who think that's normal or don't think about that at all so EA aren't going to change that any time soon.
Actually looks pretty damn good. Now if only they won't lock stuff behind 40€s DLCs.
Calling the expansions DLCs is kinda... wrong?
I mean yeah they're pretty pricey, but for the most part they're very much feature complete. They're accurately labeled as expansion packs. They often add some cool new gameplay and features (even some that come in free updates without needing to buy the pack).
watch as people grind their sex skills to the max.

This is not Dopefish, but this made me laugh a fair amount.

If Joel doesn't do a Day-1 stream of this I will be pissed
Who is this Dopefish people are talking about? I've never actually watched people play Sims online because that sounds boring.
And it'll be a bare bones Sims game. Just like Sims 3 was despite so much stuff being made for Sims 2, and despite so much stuff being there, again, in Sims 3, Sims 4 will have nothing but the basics so they can sell 19 Expansions, currently for $430 on Steam for Sims 3.
It's just so obvious that they're ditching any content from the previous game when it can just as easily be moved over into the new one, and then selling it later

I am pretty sure that was The Sims Teams doing that with The Sims 3 since Maxis didn't work on TS3. So Maxis might put more content in The Sims 4. But I could be wrong, heck it could of been EA, probably was.

Definitely was. If it were legal, EA would throw kittens into woodchippers if they thought Money would come out the other end.
The Character Creator seems really cool, but the short video I saw of some house building looked a bit Tablet friendly, hopefully not overly so, cutting minute details out of creation

This is definitely a good sign.

So long as I'm not forced to participate in multiplayer stuff I will be 100% okay and possibly even happy with this.

I think they're doing a great job of staying out of the uncanny valley actually. The Sims emote pretty realistically and stuff but dont creep me the fuck out so im pretty happy with that.
