This movie is actually a really good funny-bad movie. There's enough done wrong but with actual ambition to be funny, the production values are high enough for it to be tolerable, and it doesn't make you want to kill yourself like The Amazing Bulk or Criminally Insane/Crazy Fat Ethel. It's a really good watch if you've got a decent group of friends to riff with.
I remember on the stream of this movie there was a guy who had every single scene locked down to the events prior to and up to WW2. It was amazing how things lined up.
It's certainly no The Room but it's not bad, me and my roommate who love The Room got about halfway through Foodfight before the novelty wore off and it just started to get annoying
I think it's more interesting than The Room. Does a lot more wrong objectively, and The Room's sex scenes just grate after a while. It's no Caligula, though.
oh god the credits were going in the stream and the entire 'rendering team' was outsourced to like thirty chinese guys
Jesus Christ did they really need 30 guys to render something that looks like Reboot?
I think it's more interesting than The Room. Does a lot more wrong objectively, and The Room's sex scenes just grate after a while. It's no Caligula, though.
the room is one of the most interesting movies ever made. read the disaster artist son
With Foodfight, I can tell what they were aiming for and I can tell how they missed With The Room, I can't tell what they were aiming for and I can't even tell where they hit.
The two are too different to even compare, it's like comparing chocolate ice cream, and The Room
The two are too different to even compare, it's like comparing chocolate Wayne Bradys, and The Room
fixed :v:
Cant tell which animation is worse, the animated titanic films or this garbage.
Bad 2D animation is infinitely more tolerable than bad 3D animation
Bad 2D animation is infinitely more tolerable than bad 3D animation
Unedited MoCap makes me cry.
Cant tell which animation is worse, the animated titanic films or this garbage.
They're both on par. Foodfight is a terrible excuse for a movie, one of the Titanic films was also awful, and the other one had everybody survive the accident.
Unedited MoCap makes me cry.
It honestly does look like Kinect footage I've played with Kinect in GMOD and messed about with ragdolls and it looks exactly like the piece of shit animations this movie has
It was pointless and awkward, but I think that was the point judging by Jon's reaction.
I thought the whole point of that was to show how everything in the movie just sort of happens to the protagonist without him participating. But the only reason is there its because, "It was cool though."
They're both on par. Foodfight is a terrible excuse for a movie, one of the Titanic films was also awful, and the other one had everybody survive the accident.
But how does it compare to the 1991 animated film "The Christmas Tree"?
Compare how this movie looks to the 2008 (?) trailer. It honestly looks way better, in some spots. [editline]28th February 2014[/editline] The lighting isn't all flat, textures have more detail, and that weird dancing elephant is more than a flat cyan. Also the animations look smoother. [editline]28th February 2014[/editline] Like, with the scene where there's the close up on her eyes when brand x walks into the club, in the trailer her eyes are actually expressive and move and aren't soulless abyssal holes, and Dex drinking milk doesn't look like he's having a huge fucking spaz attack.

What the hell happened?
Animation looks better overall too. What the hell happened?
Their files were stolen, remember? They probably figured that, since they had to start over, they might try this newfangled "motion capture" technology. Unfortunately they forgot to make it good.
Did those ketchup bottles just make a fucking wilhelm scream
Howie Scream.
Did those ketchup bottles just make a fucking wilhelm scream
That would be the Howie scream.
Their files were stolen, remember? They probably figured that, since they had to start over, they might try this newfangled "motion capture" technology. The video is from http://www.thresholdanimationstudios.com/video.php?id=foodfight Can't tell how old it is but it's almost certainly from after the 2002 heist.
If memory serves from the "Sixty-five million dollars and ten years" thread, they also claimed data loss due to fires at least once. (Spoilers: the film was a money laundering scheme and was only released when the banks took over the company)
(Spoilers: the film was a money laundering scheme and was only released when the banks took over the company)
wasnt that just some theory some guy on reddit came up with
wasnt that just some theory some guy on reddit came up with
that guy on reddit was claiming to be involved in the film's development if I recall correctly.

I love how the guy sings "tell me what's an exobite", that's just too perfect
that guy on reddit was claiming to be involved in the film's development if I recall correctly.
I can do that, though. I worked on Food Fight, IAMA. The funds for the movie were directly funding the church of Scientology.
I can do that, though. I worked on Food Fight, IAMA. Regardless, I don't think you can call it a "theory some guy came up with" if they claim to have been there, even if it's not proven.
