This is very effective with just 2 windows.

You could make this build safe by using a heat exchanger and a tube going outside, but you might just get a real air conditioning unit instead, much safer.

How the hell did "lifehack" shit even start? Why is it called life"hacks". It's either a DIY, or just a tip. Hacks should be referred to as breaking into or changing code of an electronic device or program. Not eating a core of an apple because you're a dumbass. Technically you don't need ice for an evaporative cooler. You just need a membrane you can soak with water and blow air through. It then becomes a game of if it can lower the temperature fast enough that it hits a comfortable temperature before the humidity becomes unpleasant. Obviously the further you start from 100 percent humidity, the better. Also fans are more efficient drawing air than they are blowing air, so it makes more sense to have the fan blow upwards, rather than down into the can.
