The gun would have some odd proportions with the tiny .22, which is about a fourth of the size of 30-06 :v:
Companies make full size .22 versions of the M1 Carbine and AR15. Size is not a problem.

It'll just be that more adorable. Not to mention that companies have built things like .22LR STG-44s and MP-40's. I suddenly want a Mosin Nagant in .22LR... You know what? They should remake all the guns of WW2 in .22LR!

Although honestly I wish someone would make a replica StG-44 in a round big enough to actually copy all the working parts (except the full auto capability obviously), rather than straight blowback .22LR in a cast metal shell, memory serving a while back a German company made some semi-auto reproductions, but they're really hard to find (and right bloody expensive), as is 8mmK ammo. Maybe you could make them in a pistol caliber, or perhaps 7.62x39.
None really. It's a goddamn shame as well, the Korean War is a fairly interesting conflict.
Actually there is, it's appropriately called "Korea: Forgotten Conflict" :v: It's pretty decent.
Cool video but I spent the whole time waiting for some DoD footage and it never came! :(
As much as I appreciate the production value of his videos, probably 3 minutes could have been cut off if he didn't leave such incredibly huge empty parts between his sentences and sped up animations.

His videos could easily be tighter and more informative, it's kinda loose.
The graphics he uses in his videos always remind me of Watch Dogs for some reason.
considered overrated by some, i still think it's sexy as fuck

Didn't this guy used to be named Xbox Ahoy?
Another advantage they had was that early during WW2 when the knowledge of the M1 was very limited outside the US, enemies would attack after hearing five shots since bolt-actions had 5 rounds. US soldiers would shoot five rounds and wait for a few moments for an enemy to get up only to be drilled by the three remaining rounds.
Ive heard this a few times but it's not something i'd hold stock in. Most western front axis soldiers had been fighting against the 10 round enfeild of the brits / commonwealth for 2 years prior to the us entering.

The Germans lost a few King Tigers to friendly fire because they didn't recognize what the hell it was
interesting that he said that there were enough garands to stock the whole us military by 1941 because the marines went into the pacific theatre still using springfields another interesting fact i read about the garand was that a few of the 101st easy company boys who carried on to fight in korea managed to mod their garands to make them fire full auto. something about filing down an internal part

Wasteful, especially since that's just suppressive fire at that point, which can already be done by a gun like the Browning BAR.
There were a few fully automatic conversions made of the Garand. There was the T20 which Garand himself designed and was the direct predecessor to the M14, with select-fire capability and feeding from detachable BAR magazines. Although his description sounds more similar to the T27 which used a conversion made by Remington, made Garands select fire just by altering the trigger group (although from what I recall of the Russian AVT-40 that probably wasn't a good idea). The Garand design has a lot of oddball experimental variants.
this guys voice is beautiful
I was saying "Garand" wrong this whole time!
Mausers are so nice. My bolt slides like butter.
Nice, I've always wanted a k98. Where did you get yours and how much did it cost? I see a bunch online that are in rough condition/mismatched parts, but the ones with matching parts go for $1k.

Don't really see the point of spending 1k unless your a collector.
Didn't this guy used to be named Xbox Ahoy?
IIRC someone had his videos taken down from youtube and whatnot. I assume activision because he made CoD videos, and I remember being pissed because his videos about CoD always made me want to play super hard and the idea of a company stopping him from (very effectively) advertising their game irked me. I would buy the next CoD if I knew that Ahoy would do you a video for each gun like he used to.
I love his videos.
For anyone that wants to see the source, funny to see that the child is nutnfancy's son. Nutnfancy is a guy who reviews and tests all sorts of gear and weapons. I liked the video though, pretty informative and interesting.
"How to make your child hate shooting guns"

However that deal was MW3 only and I'm not sure if its being renewed for [del] Call of Titan Gear[/del] Advanced Warfare, it wasn't for BO2 or Ghosts and he did make guides for those. Good ones too, his QBB loadout was excellent for objective game types.

Its the easiest to read.

For example, I have an all matching reciever for a Gewehr 98 from 1916, but she had her stock butchered and sights taken: [t]http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/meowbird0/024-Copy.jpg[/t][t]http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/meowbird0/049-Copy.jpg[/t] I scored her for $75 plus 100 rounds of 8mm Mauser. :v:
