Instinct is not a core feature, it's an additional feature on top of the core. If you don't use instinct the core features still remain and perform exactly the same. It's not exactly hard to tell that an npc will go through a door without using instinct mode. It's like the auto-aim executions in Conviction, I completed the game with it and later without it. The core was still there.
No, that is exactly what I meant. It's not about a single feature, it's about the game design as a whole. It doesn't matter if you take out a single feature, the game is still designed to be streamlined, for it all to go hand in hand so you might aswell leave it on. It creates a useless and forced challenge, like, as I mentioned, playing A modern FPS without regenerating health. There's just no way it'll play like any previous hitman game, because it is designed for a whole different target audience that isn't expected to enjoy the same challenges as the established fanbase. Different generation, different game.
You're talkin out your ass.
And what does it ruin when you do? Oh right, fucking nothing.
Allow me to rephrase what I said, some people don't like to have X-Ray vision in a stealth game that its predecessors never had. Fortunately you can disable it.

Now, was the hardest difficulty ruined when you had it off? I mean, the game was CLEARLY designed around that mechanic, right?
Pre-ordering this game ASAP. Had my eye on it for quite awhile.

I don't know where people got it from that this is part of core mechanic. AI is predictable, all they do is give you an optional tool to see their path. Imagine this as a cheat code that activates with a button press. Do you have to press it? No. So why the fuck are people complaining? Or is it just that a nerd's life too boring and you crave some drama?
