These people, and I use the term loosely, genuinely do not deserve to have children, and y'know what, I reckon the [I][B][U]three fucking quarters of a million[/U][/B][/I] wastes of life who subscribe to them and directly support and enable this bullshit to happen don't either
You can tell Cody's been aged beyond his actual age. Because he's had so much bad shit happen to him that he's had to mature, and put in to words feelings that most kids don't even think about. "This is stuff from friends and family that I [I]care about[/I]", or "I don't care, I still don't forgive you", or, "I want you to leave so I can calm down" are all more complex emotions that a kid shouldn't have to think about enough to really put in to words. But he does, because his family does this shit so often to him he's had to think about [I]why[/I] he's upset so much to try to appeal to some sense of "not being a fucking asshole" they may have.
The shitty thing is that no matter what happens, even if Cody is taken away and put with his real mom or whatever, we can't guarantee him anything but a [I]better[/I] life. The damage is already done. Cody's been abused, and traumatized, and he'll likely be dealing with the effects on his psychological well being for decades.
There's a part of me that really wishes I could just, fast forward and talk to Cody 10 years from now and ask him if things are cool now or if things got better and how he's doing. I imagine we'll be hearing from him at least in a few years once he's old enough to want to make youtube videos. That's what I would do if I knew there were millions of people rooting for me, I'd want to talk to them as soon as humanly possible.
This channel's been going on for a while. Are the CPS in America really incapable of doing anything about this?

Yeah this erased any pity I might've had for them. I can't imagine taking the time and effort to raise a child just to laugh at the suffering of your own children. Not only that, but to think it's funny enough that other people will love it too.
I didn't get abused as a child, my parents were p decent to me. But I did come from a pretty poor & rough neighborhood and honestly if you were exposed for pulling this shit on your own fuckin flesh and blood you'd have people gunning to beat the fuck out of you.

I dont particularly like the idea of families being torn apart unless it's completely and utterly necessary. But it's clear someone needs to intervene with this in some form, whether its some form of counselling or rehoming the kids.
The way they just think its all hilarious and think they are all in on it is infuriating. Especially the clip above where the dad is yelling at the kids "DO WE ABUSE YOU??"

Sad thing is...we think justice is served by the negative coverage of their little situation, but the youngest kid is going to feel to blame for this, and the parents aren't gonna stop him from feeling like that. When he's old enough to understand the situation better, he'll only blame himself more.
If it is fake then fuck me, everyone in that family deserves an oscar. Unfortunately just because they said it was fake doesn't mean that it is. And no one has to prove that it's real, look at the footage, it speaks for itself. Their response to this is shocking and it's even more infuriating, because I don't want to see these fuckers get away with it. Even it is fake, they're pretty much normalising physical/mental abuse for money, you know... that's kinda fucked.

I remember only a few times that my dad had to yell my name out when I was around cody's age, I don't remember what I did or broke or whatever but jesus fuck I remember the terror of hearing the intense sound of my name being shouted like that. Now that I'm older I've found I have the same yell, it's so distinctive that it hit me with that same feeling the few times I've ever used it. I'm so aware of it that I refuse to let it out around anybody, I can't imagine just living with that as a day to day thing

This is what I've been wondering during this whole thing too. How the hell have teachers not been concerned about all their bruising, scabs, or injuries? There's no way after a huge amount of time they just pass it off as "rough housing". Because yeah, kids get bruises and get roughed up from just regular play, but come [i]on[/i]. There's been nosebleeds and the one kid had a visible bruise above his eye at one point. Are they homeschooled maybe...?
Also, with the one video of cody apparently smearing poop in places in the disneyland video it makes me wonder if he has any habits that he does at school that are being ignored too if he's acting out at home? Fuck, it makes me just so livid if anyone is ignoring this that could be helping these children or maybe the kids are that good at hiding it in public because their parents threaten them. Both are equally depressing.

I think if Cody gets out of there, he'll be mentally tougher and have a clearer sense of right and wrong. He seems to already be able to make decisions and conclusions on his own. I highly doubt he'll turn out like his parents. What would be bad is if he gets stuck with them for so long that he feels that his only way out is violence.
I'm almost as worried about the other kids though, particularly the eldest son. He seems to buy into the "pranking" more than the others do, especially with the positive reinforcement from his parents to bully the younger kids. He could easily turn into a dad jr. in terms of how he treats others. Its harder to say anything about the middle kids since there's not as much on them.
I wonder if there are people/random citizens in their county doing surveillance on them. I'm a bit concerned with the speed of action CPS has, particularly with it hitting a weekend, and now with all their social media going down, we won't have an updated view on what is happening over there.
