I'm trying to help a little by talking about these sorts of issues and it is legitimately difficult, but I think it's doable. I think the toughest part is going to find a way to allow some legit fucked up shit to be posted without major corporations like Nintendo knocking on the door because this website is hosting pictures of Princess Zelda taking a shit on Link's forehead while some random horse's dong. [/QUOTE] I'm not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination, but for cease-and-desist, I imagine a pass-the-buck system would probably suffice. Which is to say that if someone throws a C&D at the site because of content someone's hosting on it, you pass that C&D to the artist in question, and tell them that if they don't oblige to it then they get kicked off the platform. It's far from ideal, but that's what you get when you play with fire. And Nintendo is fucking infamous for being fiery about protecting its IP. So anyone who chooses to poke that bear does so at their own risk.

I don't really like Patreon, but what has Patreon done bad lately besides choose a poor new logo? Who have they banned?

They wouldn't be within their rights to ban actual child porn, it would be literally and [i]immensely[/i] illegal for them to host it. Drawn or animated porn featuring underage or potentially underage characters is a niche kind of porn they might ban artists for. As is extreme BDSM/bestiality/rape/guro/vore and probably other particularly niche fetishes I can't think of off the top of my head.
