If we're talking about how much we hate EA still, Titanfall 2 is releasing a content patch with a free weekend to draw players and try keep the game alive. EA decided to make it a free weekend for Battlefield 1.
EA is pretty much intentionally screwing studios over massively if they weren't, there's no way they'd make rushed turds
Ya and in the scripted sequences that I've been through that are in this video, I didn't see any of this. Remember that scripted or not, the vast majority of the cutscenes in the game are real-time, and are just as prone to random bugs as the actual gameplay.
I meant the animations themselves, not like when they're running around during a chat. The faces and the movement and such.
Bioware got the same QA as Bethesda now?
QA means nothing if the developers don't listen to them.
BUT NOW I'VE BESTED U MORDA AND CLAN NAKMOAR WILL PAY WITH BLOOD *slapping intensifies*
What gets me is how after his epic speech about how he'll get revenge, he gets his ass kicked and just kinda casually walks off without a word "welp, better luck next time"
Holy shit! It's not only the animations are awful but even the writing, the characters and the actors are awful. Also, not even 24 hours later and it's already got 1.5 million views.
I have been having a lot of fun with the game, but the problems begin to affect gameplay in some huge ways that makes the game borderline impossible on higher difficulties. In the fortresses, they will spawn entire squads of enemies, visibly on top of you. Like six or seven guys just two meters away at most, which on certain levels means you're going to lose instantly. There's no excuse for stuff like that. It happens every time you go to a different room in the fortress
30 hours in and about 35% into the game and while yes, most characters looks like potatoes, and facial and cutscene animations are awful the game still feels really fun and environments and enemies are beautiful. Some characters are pretty shit, but a lot of them are still pretty fun, even if they don't impact the game much, I like changing companions just to hear them interact with each other. As far as bugs go I've seen more than a few, however only couple were gamebreaking (in the sense that you have to restart the save to fix it) I had some NPC's not spawn so I could finish a quest, required reload. Kett spawning mid air not doing anything. Kett just generally standing motionless as you pick them off one by one from a distance. Invisible kett. Enemies spawning inside walls, especially annoying when a quest relies on killing all enemies. Luckily enough after a minute or so they teleported out the wall. Kett dropships flying right through remnant towers. Strange cutscene bugs, one in particular was with Jaal and Liam are naked and insulting each other in the tempest with their armor on the table beside them, and instead of the piece of armor on the table, for some reason it's another static model of naked Jaal just staring at the camera. I don't even know what that scene was about, there was just too much WTF for me. That being said I still really like the game even with the piss poor animations and weird glitches. Sure it's no witcher 3, but at least I'm getting more than 8 hours of gameplay out of it unlike call of duty games or something. It's definitely an above average game for me, it's a shame it has all these problems with writing and animations but I wasn't exactly expecting something extraordinary from EA's Bioware.
What pisses me off about ME:A release is not just the fact that it was rushed and stuff. It's how and what was left unfinished. It's not a surprise now that AAA titles are pushed out pretty much unfinished, with glitches and gamebreaking bugs. Much less of surprise it is that EA's game has been pushed out like that. Games are released in barely playable state and then get patched until they resemble something people expected when preordering/buying it, okay. But ME:A will never be patched. You can fix bugs, glitches, some odd scripting issues (like background NPCs spawning in cutscenes), maybe improve AI to be serviceable. But there's no fixing awful animations, abysmal lip sync, pathetic amateurish writing (including the plot that looks like someone was writing a fanfic based on the first ME) - that's done and done. EA-Bioware just didn't give a single fuck this time. Fuck it, just release it, who cares if it's broken and we'll never fix it.

They've been doing it since they set the launch date and they're not going to stop.
Titanfall 2 is TF2? I'm already confused enough by all the other acronyms.
I just call it Titfall2 frankly. Can't get used to TF2 being it.
Cindy from FFXV and then Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4.
Man, RE4 was really ahead of it's time.
I don't really understand how you can not see scripted sequences? The cutscenes that have bad animation aren't really a random thing.
There's also well animated stuff videos like this leave out.

Crowbcat videos kill honest discussion. Sloane later in the game is well animated and acted and has a good scene but nah, not in the video, not worth taking about.

At least New Vegas had the excuse of being fantastic.

His content is fuel for ignorance. Regardless of whether or not the contents of the video are true or not, it doesn't change the fact Crow has proven in the past he's not a reliable source for whether or not games are good.
;52019434']while i get where you're coming from, first impressions count for a lot, and you can't really excuse a game being a trainwreck for the first few hours, because that might turn a lot of people off before they get to the good stuff
yes they do and besides Addison, I never had a large number of these problems, so my first impressions weren't so soured. Then you get to later parts in the game and much of the animation quality seems to come back and there's less apparent issues.
Yeah, like Liam's trademark line of, "I think I pissed that guy off, maybe because I shot him in the face!"
like yeah, shit like this is cringeworthy and really poorly written there is no excuse for that and it cuts the credibility of the game but then also failing to show interesting and fairly well written conversations with the guy in a different context is par for the course
like yeah, shit like this is cringeworthy and really poorly written there is no excuse for that and it cuts the credibility of the game but then also failing to show interesting and fairly well written conversations with the guy in a different context is par for the course
but all interesting writing and dialogue is immediately shaded by bad animations, dead cold eyes, poor graphics and lighting, jankyness and bad voice acting in every instance of this game. and that's when you're "lucky"; when you're "unlucky" your cutscene is plagued with bugs. video games are packages, not individual set pieces. you can enjoy those pieces but that doesn't make the rest of the rotten garbage okay. as a whole it is a very bad product.

Like, I just watched the Two Best Friends Machinima video for this game and it seems like hot, buggy garbage. I need examples of scenes that were written, animated and acted well.
What are some of the fantastically written and well-directed scenes in the game?
did I even go that far to say that? no I said fairly well written nice [editline]27th March 2017[/editline]
but all interesting writing and dialogue is immediately shaded by bad animations, dead cold eyes, poor graphics and lighting, jankyness and bad voice acting in every instance of this game. and that's when you're "lucky"; when you're "unlucky" your cutscene is plagued with bugs. video games are packages, not individual set pieces. you can enjoy those pieces but that doesn't make the rest of the rotten garbage okay. as a whole it is a very bad product.
it's a 7 or so for me, a very bad product would be worse than that, no mans sky or something and yeah I can't argue with a bunch of those things
did I even go that far to say that? no I said fairly well written nice and yeah I can't argue with a bunch of those things
I'm just asking because it seems like you're defending the game as not being as bad as everyone says it is, yet everything I'm looking at makes it look like a bloody abortion. I just need examples of shit that happens in the game that's good, charming or even coherent.
TBH this game seems like it'd still suck even without all the issues.
