I'm sick of you spouting off stupid bullshit about this game Joey. You're one to talk about lying since you've done the very same fucking thing mister "The game will NEVER be patched!", and your constant misrepresentation of the game to shit on it is fucking annoying.
Didnt you get all huffy and puffy at me for believing a clip that was apparently on low settings and absolutely didnt look as bad ingame, and when i asked you for proof you fucked off because you expected me to believe your word on the matter, then when videos were posted on max settings it still looked terrible compared to the leaked footage anyway and still had dogshit lighting, facial animations, and effects?
And you're telling someone else to stop lying and spouting off stupid bullshit, again?
If you're claiming he's misrepresenting the game, surely you can admit you are too.
People keep saying this, and it will keep being ignored
But the game keeps getting better the further in you go. I found that to be the case 100%.
I agree. The best part about the game is when it's over.

No, I said that it didn't look that bad when I played it, which it didn't. I didn't expect you to just believe me, I wanted you to be a little bit critical of the obvious bullshit people have been posting about the game.
I even said I'd fucking record it next time for you.

Its hard to be critical of "obvious bullshit" when ive seen dozens of the examples people cite, in the OP video, in other videos, in pictures, in .webms and gifs, in IGN trailers, and most of the arguments against it in this thread dont really do the same.
no one wants to risk $60 on a game with a shit start on the off-chance that it gets better
A game should sell itself the moment you start playing it, some people don't like slogging through the bad parts in order to reach the good bits.
That's just bad game design and turns me off trying ME:A when people tell me that.

A good anything should have a solid hook that lets you know what you're in for so you have some investment and interest.
James Bond movies have those sequences at the start followed by the intro theme and titles that give you the mood and tone, and the general level of quality you're reasonably going to be expecting, for example.
If, hypothetically, you play a 40 hour game and it takes 20 hours to start to get interesting, i'd wager its not very good.
I really don't want spend $80+ on a game on the off chance the game may stop sucking.
I mean, would you buy a TV if the guy selling it to you was like "Sure, the picture looks like shit but after a day or so it clears right up! Trust me!"? Pretty sure you'd tell him to fuck right off.
The first parts of the game are easily the worst, but calling it shit is exaggerating.
Despite some mediocre set up and predictable moments its still pretty fun, you just occasionally cringe at the weird writing (MY FACE IS TIRED). The solid gameplay and exploration is entertaining enough to not get bored. The only thing I'd call shit for the early moments is some of the main quest dialogue.
I honestly believe the inexperienced team they hired to do this were finding their footing and never went back to fix these parts, because after a while the writing stops having all the unnecessary cringey lines and reaches decent levels of quality.
Unfortunately I can't say the same for the animations.
6/10 and 7/10 are pretty fair scores for the experience. It's actually a very immersive game and although flawed, does still feel like a Mass Effect game. I feel it was worth the price for me, but if a quality start is important to you, I reccomend getting it on sale.
Oh
I think ill make it far easier to read this time.
The more you argue agaisnt the "hyperbole" the more you sink the game.
You had a good time with it despite what everyone says, and a video edited for comedy reasons wont change that.
Don't make a personal crusade out of this, because not even the devs are with you on this.
Move on.

I don't know what's worse, the beginning of the game being the only good part ala Fallout 4, or the end being the only good part. You're missing out on your money either way, I guess at least you can't pull a fast one on reviewers if the start of your game sucks.
He actually remade the video using PC footage where he made absolutely sure the settings were on Ultra.

The final version just keeps on having those bugs where characters in cutscenes will stare right into the camera like a bunch of nervous amateur actors.
