They did a lot of mime classes to figure out how to act like robots- I think I heard in an interview that one of their teachers was a mime as well, so I guess that's what got it started.
I may have thought what the fuck is this shit but I loved it all the same.
Steam Powered Giraffe are great. I do like this and it's good, but i don't really think it was a very good choice of song to cover.

Fire, Fire is my favourite song they've done, it's a shame there isn't a non-live version available. The version with just David (the Spine) is good but i prefer the version with SPG:

You know, after a few listens I realised that Rabbit's actually doing a really strange harmony at 2:02. It sounds flat, but it's like a major seventh or something? I'm not good at recognising intervals by ear, but if you listen to the background chord it works, even if it juxtaposes the previous line a bit.

It's a generally cool movement when the piece calls for it, and this song -REALLY- didn't benefit from it.

I could never really get into these guys. Like they aren't bad but i feel they're sort of obnoxious/pushy with their hook. Just not my cup of tea.

They are silly fun people who make mostly silly fun songs.

It's still totally a gimmick. Some can't get into it like JoelDJr and Viva, but it doesn't bug the likes of me.
