Trump won the debate according to all of the mainstream focus groups.
There hasn't been any mainstream media poll posted.
He would split the vote and Trump would win. I'm no Clinton fan either, but that's not exactly an ideal fix.
That is very possible. One of the reasons why bernie endorsed hillary if i remember right. But at what cost do we keep going this way? Voting for people you dont want to prevent some fuckboi from being president? Besides at the end of the day it's how democracy at works. We shouldn't let this flawed and corruped two-party system control our country keep going this way just because we fear what other people may vote. I've seen alot of you complain about this a good while ago but now some of you are turning a blind eye to something that is wrong just because Thrump may get elected.
man this was the first debate i ever watched live and it felt like watching a south park episode or something. it even had the little sweet moment at the end. at certain moments it also felt like i was an oreo being slowly dipped into a pool of lovecraftian madness mucous. i mean, imo clinton won because she isn't as insane as trump but now i understand why americans hate both candidates. they're both weird. it looks like something from a movie lol. "do you think your candidate is fit for presidency?" clinton: no trump: i'm shocked to hear. *laughter from audience*
vox uses any time someone talked over someone as an "interruption" 538 required you to actually take the floor to be an interruption
Vox is a completely shit source, they have a completely obvious "left" bias.
I strongly disagree, you could see 00:00 on the timer often behind Hillary and they would allow her to go over easily for 20 seconds or more to finish her argument. As soon as it hit all 0s for Trump he'd have to talk over the moderators to finish his. I can't be the only one that saw this shit, I'm more for Hillary at this point but it was pretty obvious what was happening.
Because Trump kept ranting, he rants until you stop him. You could tell Hillary was reaching a conclusion when they told her that her time was up.
have you looked at the polls lately
Well, don't get ahead of yourself. We won't know the effects of tonight's debate for several days yet. At the very least, Trump's performance will likely mitigate the nosedive he's taken in recent days. As to whether or not it will be enough? Time will tell. If the horse race polls don't show Trump receiving a significant enough bump to take back the edge in his swing states after tonight, then it will probably be impossible for his campaign to recover. Trump needed to have a stellar performance tonight in order to remain viable. While I don't know that I'd call his performance "stellar," he definitely came out stronger tonight than he did in the first debate.
Because Trump kept ranting, he rants until you stop him. You could tell Hillary was reaching a conclusion when they told her that her time was up.
Uh, no, they have that shit in common.
I think leaking tapes of things a man has said years ago for television is kinda low. Trump has said plenty of stupid things during this campaign already that someone could use instead. It makes you no better than him when he brought Bill's mistress up or Benghazi. Focus on things that happen during the campaign, not before it.
so what's the plan when the giant orange manbaby has a temper tantrum and convinces himself and his supporters that the election was rigged and that the president should be thrown in jail
Ionno. It's unprecedented, as far as I'm aware. We'll have to wait and see. Understanding the character of the candidate is crucial to understanding what kind of leader he or she would be. The president is our country's chief diplomat, afterall. You can't exactly have your chief diplomat bragging about using his power and fame to sexually assault women.
Ionno. It's unprecedented, as far as I'm aware. We'll have to wait and see.
Unfortunately quite a lot of things in this election are unprecedented and we're having to experience them at such an inappropriate time.
Pretty unpresidented too lol.

Some people are taking this election way too personally, and I feel like keeping things contained in the present might keep things a bit more calm. People at campus are starting to get a bit rabid at each other.
Still waiting for CNN poll
For CNN I think it will be 48 Clinton 42 Trump

If Clinton is seen to have won this debate, there is really nothing Trump can do. This was his A-game
Still waiting for CNN poll
That picture so perfectly captures tonight's debate.
Still waiting for CNN poll
Jeez it looks like a duet. Of sadness.
If Clinton is seen to have won this debate, there is really nothing Trump can do. This was his A-game
The fact that anyone can hear this manbaby's shrill blathering and be anything other than thoroughly disgusted fills me with dread this debate was an insult to human dignity
As much as I wanted Clinton to decimate Trump during this debate, I can't quite say she did so. Trump actually pressed her on the emails and DNC leaks, and she didn't have much of a response. I'd say it's a tie because they did equally badly, but I fear that a lot of people will view it as a slight Trump win because he didn't have another meltdown. Either way I hope it isn't enough for Trump to make any huge recoveries in the polls.
CNN poll results Clinton 57 Trump 34 [editline]10th October 2016[/editline]

I need some time to process my thoughts on this too!
the real results will be the change in polling numbers
CNN poll results Clinton 57 Trump 34 [editline]10th October 2016[/editline]
That seems like a lot wider of a margin than I expected. Then again, Trump's last debate performance is probably clouding my vision of a "good debate performance."
I think regardless of the debate, many people have already made their decision about the candidates. I don't foresee big changes in the poll numbers.
