We can't. That doesn't mean we should explicitly or implicitly allow it. You could make the same argument with CP in general - it can be hard to tell whether a person is 18 or 17 or even 16, but that doesn't mean we should allow posting of it. Obviously CP is also completely illegal, but the argument is analogous.

It's most likely not going to be a regular issue of people self-posting in the other threads anyway - if you're above 18 and you wanna do that it's fine, but we shouldn't be making threads directly encouraging people to share their own nudity

I really don't know why you're defending self-posting nudes. Seems pretty clear to me that this is where people are drawing the line.
if someone has been posting nudes for like 3 years the chances that they're underage are a lot lower than if someone just randomly starts uploading stuff out of nowhere and even if they do turn out to be underage despite all available evidence that they aren't, tumblr and sites like it are legally obligated to remove the content, which would also kill the links on here as well do I even have to get into the difference between posting nudes you found somewhere and active solicitation? like goddamn this isn't rocket science

A) The idea that FP should start handing out what's basically "post your dick"-licenses by checking your driver's license or whatever is absurd and B) ... Actually just A). It's just absurd. Facepunch has already had a case of an underage user being encouraged to post nudes of himself. We don't need a repeat of that. Kids can find porn all over the internet, and as long as FP has a disclaimer, you can hardly fault FP. But the moment Facepunch has threads running where people are encouraged to post themselves nude, with the knowledge that quite a few users are underage, you're getting into totally different territory.
