For a while, (years) I've been using this weird, old cable (if you want to call it that) to output my computer's audio to my stereo when I wanted better sound than what my desktop speakers could provide. It was a regular headphone jack to RCA female, so I could jump the connection as basically an aux > rca. It was my only means of connecting my tower to my stereo....and I couldn't find it at all yesterday. I packed it away because I thought I was moving and I did move some things. So who knows where it's at.f
Anyway, I had a dream last night that I found the connector, and I was disappointed when I woke up and realized it was a dream ):<
I ordered a spdif to rca converter today so I have a permanent solution to this problem now, but still. Fuck you brain, that was a dick move.
I was riding to work with my friend who I carpool with and for some reason I was holding a little plastic tube. he had to brake and my head slammed into the dashboard and the tube went just above my right eye and it punctured the bone behind it. For the rest of the dream I felt like I had to smile widely in order to stop my skin from pulling on the tube. I was worried about getting brain damage and not being being able to do my job. I told my friend to call an ambulance. He didn't and dropped me off somewhere because he had to get to work. I tried to call an ambulance but was having trouble using my phone. Before I could someone came up to me and told me I have something stuck in my eye, which I was very aware of. I asked him to call an ambulance and he did. Then my teeth started breaking apart and falling out and he took one and put it in his mouth, spit it out and started lecturing me about how I need to brush my teeth more. He said I needed to be put into an insane asylum, and then I was. He was one of the doctors there and he made fun of me.
I had this really intense feeling of desperation throughout that whole dream, it felt like my whole life had fallen apart. The dream I had about pulling needles out of my dick was more pleasant.
I'm glad I realized it was a dream immediately after I woke up. I usually feel like my dreams are real for a while after I wake up.
I was in an apartment at night with the lights off, but I could still see semi-decently. I was walking to the bathroom when I looked into a doorway at an empty bedroom. It was either the bedroom I just left or it was a different room, I don't know which.
As I was walking by I looked at the bed and saw a huge lump underneath the covers coming out at least a couple feet above the bed. I thought the blanket was just laying awkwardly to form the lump, so I continued on to the bathroom, though I was a little freaked out. Then I came back out of the bathroom and the lump was gone and I panicked because at that point I knew something was there before that made the covers stick up like that. Out of fear I ran over to the bed and began frantically looking for whatever made the lump and there was nothing on top of the covers so then I started to look underneath the bed. Keep in mind this is at night with very little light.
I looked under the bed, and at first I didn't see anything. But then I looked closer and saw what at first I thought was just some shadows, but as I stared at it I realized I was looking at someone's hands, and my heart sank. It looked as if someone was laying on the floor facing my direction but I could only see their hands and part of their arms the way they were laying.
I don't know why, but I reached out to touch one of the hands just to see whether it was real or just an optical illusion from a shadow. I remember as I was reaching out to touch them, I was making frightened noises (I think I was actually making them in real life too) because I was honestly feeling such a deeply terrifying emotion even though I was asleep.
I ever so slightly and very gently touched one of the hands, and at that moment the rest of the figure became clearer and I realized what I was seeing was an actual living being, and it was right here with me in the apartment that I thought I was alone in. When I touched the hand, the figure moved and I saw its face. It was a girl with dark hair. She moved slightly and then picked her head up and I saw her face and she looked me dead in the eyes. I woke up absolutely terrified with my heart racing and sort of relieved that it wasn't actually happening.
i was at work, fucking off and talking with my coworkers. i poked my head through this little window, doing a bit, when this big guy in dark clothing practically appeared out of nowhere, grabbed me by my shirt and violently pulled me through the hole, which shortly after woke me up. i had a feeling he was either management or security or something and that i was in trouble because i occasionally eat some of the chicken strips that are about to be thrown out at the end of the day. the weirdest thing was that when i woke up i physically felt like i had been grabbed IRL the way I had been in the dream,, like i had been ripped from the dream.
dreamt I had a broken leg?? I've never broken any bones so it was weird, couldn't put weight on my leg and it bent funny at the shin.
Woke up with a massive headache, and my dog laying on my lap.
One of those multiple dreams with me waking up middle of the night.
First one I'm in a van traveling with people, we're for some reason trying to improve the van with gizmos or some future tech.
We're all headed to a nacho place that is a giant Mayan pyramid decorated with nachos and themed as such, and a Indian chef standing on top blowing a hunting horn.
Next I am skate boarding everywhere on a familiar stretch of a busy street with no houses around, still mediocre at it even in dreams.
I pass by two building size crucibles, red hot and there is a school bus next to it getting melted down. next thing you know I am eating melted cheese with family.
best one
Cannot remember the lead up on this one, but I am moving around floor to floor of an abandoned but really fancy and lit up building with batman and nightwing, checking out someones
stash of weapons, tools, and gizmos. in the middle of that we get teased around by the joker and I picked up a smartwatch to stuff in my pocket and im told directly from the joker that is not a good idea. As we go along im constantly being playful and not taking things serious every time the joker appears. Comes to a point batman makes joker mad near the top of the building and joker ofc blows up the building with all of us in it and we rush down stairs to our vehicles, it was intense.
It's a little foggy to me now, but it was basically me going to an unknown mall pretty late at night since it was supposedly open 24/7.
I arrived and went inside, but there was no people, no lights on there, but all the stores had the roller shutters up so i walked further to see if it was just the entrance that was empty.
I kept walking through the mall, but there was still no sign of life at all so i went back to where i came from, thinking i would just go back home.
When i got to where i came in, the door was literally gone, it had been replaced with a large window, all entrances i had seen were gone.
I started panicking while looking for a way to get out, even trying to smash the windows with something heavy.
While trying to break the window I was grabbed all of a sudden from behind by someone. They stabbed a knife into my throat and that's when i suddenly woke up.
I had a dream last night that my brother and I visited the library after not being there since we were kids. they had a few aisles of junk food you could buy to try and get people to visit more often.
REMEMBER HUMANS, DONT LET YOUR MEMES BE DREAMS
I dreamt that I went to a thrift store I had never been to before and I kept finding really cool shit and people kept staring at me like they were jealous because they hadnt thought to look at the items the way I was in terms of usefulness.
I was highly upset when I woke up because I love amazing thrift store finds
I was in some kind of tiny space motel that orbited around Earth.
I dreamt that I was skating all around my neighborhood like I knew what I was doing, and then I "woke up" and went to get on my rollerblade gear and skate for real before work. Then I woke up for real and have no energy to do that shit.
I dreamt that I was in elementary school as dismissal time and my grandmother was at one of the school gates to pick me up only for me to somehow realise that my parents were waiting in a car at another school gate on the other side of the school. I hurried and almost caused my grandmother to trip and she scolded me for that when we were in the car.
I was hiding in a ball pit because I was being hunted by D.va? or someone in a D.va mech who wanted to harvest my organs.
I know there was a lot more going on but I've forgotten it by now.
I vividly remember that my ass caught fire out of nowhere and I was running in the street... I woke up to hot diarrhea
i sold light sabers to d&d adventurers
Anyone here ever suffered from sleep paralysis?
I don't know if it's the same, but my parents said I had horrible 'night terrors' as a child I don't even remember. I'd wake up in the middle of the night screaming and squalling at the top of my lungs as if I was being ripped limb from limb, flailing around in absolute unbridled fear and panic and when I came to by them helping me out of it I didn't remember anything.
It is like it is commonly described: you know you are half-awake but you can't move. You start to breathe faster because you feel you are running out of air (you know you are breathing but you don't "feel" your chest).
It is often followed by thinking you are going to fall through the bed and hallucinations, a big head floating over you or someone sitting on your chest. Assuming you have a window close, you can't see the light at the other side of it but you imagine a presence watching you.
Everything happens fast, less than two minutes. And like a recurrent dream someone can have the same hallucinations than you, all reduced to something or someone pressing your chest and someone staring at you behind the window or trying to open the door. The painting The Nightmare was inspired by that common factor.
The brain visualizing the worst case scenarios for no reason is an arcaic defensive mechanism, but it is weird to see the things the brain can come with when the logic center is not fully awake.
So this one's a bit weird, and one of the few that I can remember clearly. Commercial exoskeletons had recently become a thing, and for some reason the government put together some sort of death squad hunting down augmented individuals. I was running like hell down an alley trying to avoid being spotted by a helicopter's searchlight, and then it just suddenly jumped forward some indeterminable amount of time in the future, I went through some sort of metal detector and was promptly interrogated as to why I had "bolts in my shoulders". I can only guess that they were referring to a mounting point for the exoskeleton.
I dreamt I was playing some MMOFPS in a tank that could turn into a mech.
Alex Jones was also really obsessed with the invisibility watch I have for some reason, talking about aliens and future shit that I forgot.
last night, I had a dream that took place in my own bed with my SO. the environments looked the exact same as it usually does, except that I had a tablet which I don't own. my SO was lying motionless in the bed next to me in the dream and I had to fix her since she was broken. I hooked my tablet up to her and launched my IDE to correct some programming errors in her. one of the first things I decided to fix was her positioning system, so I went ahead and started adding some logic to control her X coordinates. after doing so, I ran the program on her and she started to slowly ascend from the bed. after that, I went ahead to modify her Y coordinates so she could move sideways as well. I thought to myself that I could save some time if I copied the previous code and made the neccesary adjustments to make it work. I compiled it and ran it. she started spazzing out as if I had set her X and Y speed to random values so she would shake furiously. I started freaking out since it was creepy as heck to watch her completely lifeless but shaking violently. I sat and watched her in horror as I tried to fix the problem, but then she started vibrating over to me and I panicked hard.
as she leaned over me in my dream like thing, I jumped out of bed, now awake, and ran to the coffee table. I was looking for the Y coordinate vaping juice since I needed that to fix her since apparently there are X and Y coordinate variants of vape juices that must be mixed to create juice, and also to fix broken humans with broken positioning systems. I looked all over but couldn't find anything and I got more and more scared I'd lose my SO forever. then she woke up as well, confused as fuck over the fact I jumped out of bed without warning to look for juice. I looked at her in horror and couldn't understand why she wasn't shaking anymore and all I managed to say was "are you okay?! I'm looking for vape juice for you, to fix you". I went over to my computer desk instead to look, still horrified over what I'd done. when I found the juice, that's when I had woken enough to realize what I was doing and wtf just happened. she wasn't broken, I didn't program her, she never shaked and vaping juice can't fix humans. so I went to bed, but kept a cautious eye on my SO before I drifted off again
wtf brain.
the closest thing to sleep paralysis i have experienced is when i couldn't move or open my eyes. i heard what sounded like a small room full of people murmuring, which slowly grew into a cacophony of screams. suddenly, it stopped, and i could open my eyes and move again. as an aside, that was also the day of the attempted coup in Turkey.
An emaciated mummified looking person was crawling around with its heart visibly beating, I asked what that thing was and someone next to me replied "I think it's got type two diabetes".
I believe my dream may be telling me to lay off the added sugars.
just woke up from a nightmare where i was just being bombarded with constant sounds of screaming
i think we were trying to save something. there was a godlike figure who would possess people and guide us. i had to drag the rotting body of a small butler out of the way so the god could crawl through a ventilation shaft. we all had duffel bags. there was a roman-style pool.
Pulling glass out of my eyes.
Hmm.
I had found a prototype for a nonexistent unreleased sequel to Bubsy 3D that was actually pretty rad. it basically played like a PS1 version of Pac-Man World 2
I dreamt of Half-Life 3 I shit you not. It was fucking amazing and I wish I remembered it all.
