How do you get over heartbreak faster? Got into a relationship with my best friend and she fucked me over pretty hard in the way she ended it and now wants to make it up and be my friend again so it's been a bit tough to do that.

I've been super into genealogy the past few weeks. Been digging up documents and stuff and have so far managed to establish a direct ancestry-line of my family on both my fathers and mothers side all the way back to the 1400's 👌
Kinda wanna start a thread about it, this stuff is super fascinating
You should.
I'm kinda jelly of all these cool resources online available for US folks to trace down their ancestry. My grandpa traced our family tree for a while back home but it involved a lot of digging through old public records and ancient papers with hard to read handwriting. A lot of work but I think he got pretty far back, around 1600's.
i'm gonna bully you for bullying someone

Sites like Ancestry and MyHeritage have worldwide databases that easily let you check records from churches, mosques courts & such. It gets muddy around the 1500-mark, which makes sense since documentation wasn't exactly as common before then + things get lost with time. What's nice is these sites have hundreds of thousands if not millions of users, and they supply their own information as well. I've found to have common ancestors with upwards 20 other members, which means we can share trees & data, expanding both of our findings. It's super-neat.
I'll look into making a thread later in General.
