What you need is a cowboy hat made of space.
To who it may concern: Go away.

No you like judge dredd
You ever realize that we, as humans, who cohabit the earth, PAY for space to live? Like, i have to slave at a job i hate, to save up money for months of my life just so i can hopefully get a place to sleep and live thats 500 sq feet MAYBE that costs from 900-1200 dollars a month
[ Before Uber was a thing ] One time, I asked a friend to drive me to an interview because I needed a ride. They took me and when we were on our way back for him to drop me home, his car broke down when we were almost there. It took a god half hour and a concerned citizen to get it running again. Since we were closer to his place, he thought itd be a good idea to park there and let the car cool off so that he could drive me home. I live in florida so, working on a car in 100 degree heat for half hour isnt ideal, so he went to take a shower and i sat on the couch waiting. (back story, he lives with his "ex" and i was told that its fine that he has girlfriends over. Honestly, nothing was happening at all between us. Hes a fuckboy and just no. But I thought it was really odd that he lived with his ex and that he had to tell me that it was fine that i was there???} Anyways, he comes out of the shower and is in his boxers and sits on the couch. I ask him to please put some clothes on and he says no because its his house and hes hot from being outside... I sit away from him on the opposite side of the other couch and purposefully put on a very homosexual show on netflix to make this more or less more awkward than it needed to be until we hear the front door key turn. At first i was like, oh thank god, his ex is home, but THEN I look at his face and I know something stupid is about to happen. She opens the door and looks at me and then him and shes on the phone and starts cursing and calling me every name in the book. Im just staring at this girl because i dont understand why shes yelling at me when im fully dressed, backpack on and literally on the opposite side of the room... as well as the "fact" that they are exes? she says, "Are you fucking on my couch?" "Why is this whore here?" "You know we still fuck right?" In my head, im thinking this asshole put me in the situation and this bitch is crazy. So i get up and walk to the door and stand outside. Shes yelling all kinds of insane shit and then says, "why are you in here with him being naked? What would your bf say? blahblahblah" She thought I was 16 lmao I think i was older than her.. Anyways, tl;dr instead of assessing the situation better and seeing that Im literally gay af and had clothes on and maybe asking me wtf happened instead of yelling at me, she could have yelled at him perhaps? Weeks later, i get a text from him saying hes outside my house and some crazy sexual shit and im pretty sure it was her trying to trap me in some kind of lie? Because after i said that he was batshit crazy and she contacted me herself, i told her that if theres nothing between you guys, then you need to maybe get out of there because he doesnt respect you... apparently hes cheated on her with a bunch of other girls? I just... Have you ever gotten into a fight or lost a friend due to miscommunication? I wanted to make a thread of how miscommunication screwed you over but im not sure... should i?

Always a pleasure.
Well let's be real here, that place to live is't just some patch of dirt (which would be free to live on), it's a developed structure. People had to spend time and money constructing it, it took hours to create and train people to create and tons of resources and tons of time and effort to acquire those resources and required specialized people to wire it and put in piping and make it look nice. It takes a whole lot of time and money to make something as advanced as a first world home. So yeah that stuff is going to cost money, which is not really a bad thing because those workers and organizers need to be paid for their time and effort.
Im watching that new show on netflix, "Lost in Space" and im praying it isnt some marshmellow fluff ass show just because theres kids in it. I love sci-fi movies/shows and I want to see some weird fucked up shit.. not some, "oh mom! you rascal!" shit." or friendly aliens who help them survive
The original Lost In Space is much better
Currently $887 a month for the 4 room(1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room and a kitchen) apartment I live in. I have lived here 33 years. I can remember when $364 a month was a lot. If I move out, they will renovate the apartment and charge whoever moves in around the range you mention. If they come in and do said renovations my rent will go up to that range. Don't have enough income to find another place. And since older houses and buildings are getting torn down to put up condos odds are I may not ever.
>:{ tiny homes or train cart homes
In the olden days if you needed somewhere to live you just built it and hope you dont get killed by snakes or wolves things were so much more straightforward
