I was gonna say it seemed like Lordkat had some serious problems of his own based on how unhinged he was in that clip, if that's how he normally is then it seems like that's the case.
I'm gonna fully admit I don't like LordKat that much, I think he's a bit full of himself but he's not normally like that to be honest. That said, I did enjoy his Wyrmwick DnD stream.

I don't think Spoony makes that much money. He only makes $544 a month from Patreon which is nothing.
Yeah that averages to $18 a day, so a part time minimum wage job would earn significantly more.
I know there's some people out there (notably some on The Spoony Experiment subreddit) that feel like he deserves no sympathy due to the whole Patreon issue.
Personally, I see that he's clearly not happy so I still feel bad.
Oh my fucking god I just saw the gameshow thing CA made. How did 2007 era Spoony understand how to set up a shot better than these fucks who have been doing it for years? They can't light, they don't know how to do sound, they don't know how to make sets, anything.
CA has always kind of sucked. As someone earlier put it nicely, there just wasn't any sort of compelling content to compete at the time. Their quality has barely improved over the past decade. IMO none of the crew is very funny.
Couldn't they just fire him or replace him? I mean I don't think they had this kind of problem for like until 2012 when people started moving around.
I really wonder how much of that is just people who haven't bothered/forgot to cancel their patreon subscription.

I just... fuck how did these schmucks end up even considering running a production company? It's been made clear time and time again that Doug Walker and his brother are braindead and despite studying film for years and critiquing it and doing surprisingly large but still low budget productions, have zero, less than a first day of film class level of understanding of the medium.
Multiple people have confirmed that the dipshits didn't believe that the 180 degree rule existed, so far that they got into an argument with someone who has worked on multiple feature films.
Their anniversary film 'To Boldly Flee' still amazes me with it's bad quality. They rushed out a 3 and a half hour "film" in less than a week. More than 4 and a half hours if you count the hour of footage they cut out.
With how Spoony acted I'd probably act the same way tbh, that was insanely shitty

It's kind of the trouble of dealing with someone that has issues. I had to deal with someone that was massively alcoholic, but also didn't even understand it, so acting that toxically was basically normal because they were so out of control it was just impossible not to.
it went from just kind of ignoring it and accepting the bullshit to yep this is happening again. You can hear from 5 rooms down how their feet and hands move that bullshits going to happen.
I just fucking hate it how when you listen for people's movements around the house you can just tell that they are massively pissed off based on how much noise they are making. aggressive/upset people more very differently from calm people.
Jesus Marzgurl dropped the hammer. I hadn't seen anything from her in like, half a decade, but she actually seems to be doing super well for herself. Which is great, because you'd think after nine fucking years at a company they'd at least acknowledge you, like, ever.
To be fair that part isn't actually in the video, in fact it may not even be from the video the clip is from. The whole LordKat rant is a fucking hour long btw. I definitely do remember it happening. I just can't remember if it was in another of his lost streams or on his now defunct blog. But there are other people who do remember him saying and never apologizing for it either, talk about a hypocrite. The gist of LordKats comment was that Spoony should kill himself with his brothers gun, who is a cop.

Say what you want about Spoony being a lazy asshole, but at least he never got some lady drunk on a live stream with a bunch of randos and groped her. Looks like according to this: "Magfest Incident | Diamanda Hagan" LordKat had his own gaffe and resultant meltdown.

I didn't really follow Spoony, but it's a shame his work went in a downward spiral so rapidly.
Not to mention how Channel Awesome as a whole is falling apart. At least Linkara is doing alright from the looks of it. Haven't caught up with his show in a while, probably should at some point. I enjoyed him enough to help crowdfund his movie (no regrets, I'm fine with the quality I got).
Though I can't imagine how Doug himself must feel about all this. For all his complaints and criticisms, he's just seemed like a chill guy wanting to make people laugh and film stuff, and keeps getting caught up in money problems and business controversies. Poor guy.
Not to make this thread about Linkara, but lots of people like to shit on him because of his personal life and other stupid shit. I never much cared about any of that stuff and just enjoyed his content, still do.
Honestly, I think this should have its own thread. This is a really big deal with all the fallout from it.
I have never followed Spoony but only seen snippets of him. The video did a good job laying it out what happened so i'm glad that i now know about it but goddamn what mental illness does to you, the guy certainly seemed to have talent for more but I guess his illness stopped him from doing anything more.
