Thief rating. Pay 10 coins to reduce someone's coins by 5. The rating should look like a stereotypical thief or wild west bandit emoji. Pay 5 coins to reduce 1 coin as an alternative if 10-5 is too harsh.
Special forum, let's call it Coinnesseur's Cradle or Coinnesseur's Club to keep up with the pun theme (from connoisseur). Pay a few hundred coins (for example 500) for access so only the greatest coin farmers (quality posters) and richest dicks can get in.
How about we just raise the price of gold membership
It'll turn straight into the OIFY
I like the idea of a forum specifically for coin games n stuff, not so much one where you have to pay to get access
first paying for bans on others wasnt all that well received and we wanna take away coins now? :s
the gmf is already pretty useless in its current state so why not take initiative to fix that instead and raise the price like ott suggested
That sounds like a great way to discourage people from posting at all
how about no
This is the worst suggestion I've seen on Newpunch.
I would rather see the lawsuit rating get implemented so we can sue those that scammed us just to get our coins back.
Why not replace GMF with the CMF (coin... whateverforum)? Paying coins to post?... Though now that I think about that there's not really any reason a thread would be there and not elsewhere.
I'd save give gold more rewards, to incentivise people to buying it. Maybe raising it's price accordingly too (give it me first tho pls). Or just continue improving the coin system with more things to buy like paying for certain user card customizations, profile page customization (add profile messages first tho as atm there's no reason to click on it), leaderboards (opt in/opt outable), etc
It's turning out good so far imo
Orkel if you wanted coins you could've just asked us
I am glad to see my ideas getting such a wonderful reception from the community. We shall swiftly implement them in the next forum update
how about a bad idea rating for us to rate this thread with
I propose we enable "Thief" rating only on Orkel's OP, forever, until the end of time
oh fuck oh fuck tudds gonna be poor
I don't think Joe 2017-joiner should lose all of his coins because some shitter who posts in polidicks all day and has 120 coins decided that he doesn't like that Joe said trump is bad. There's nothing at all to actually make sure that someone loses coins because they made a shit post, all it takes is for somebody who has a lot of coins to not like you.
Also it disproportionately shits on new users because once you've been on the forum long enough to have enough coins for a post background and a few extra avatar pixels there's not much left to do with those coins. If somebody stole all of my 50 coins right now I wouldn't really care much, because the only other thing I might get is a negligible avatar size increase and some different colored text on my name. But if somebody stole my coins while I was still saving up for the first 20 so I could get a background, it would be a massive pain in the ass.
Basically you're punishing people for being disliked by some random shit with a lot of coins doesn't like you, which is a horrible idea and doesn't add anything positive to the forums at all.
Jesus Christ within a couple weeks Facepunch has become a microcosmic replication of the problem with wealth hoarding under a capitalist society.
You can't just sell shitposts to the highest bidder. Shitposts are god-given right, they should be legalized period.
The idea of paying money so someone else could be poorer.
If that's not the epitome of capitalism idk what is.
i'm not angry with you orkel, just dissapointed
How about paying coins to have a shit emoji placed on a post. Multiple people can shit on posts to literally cover the post in shit. A shitpost if you will.
orkel you suck at ideas please stop
This thread is every reason why people didn't want a bizarre coin system in the first place.
Ideas exist to be posted, good or bad
I vote that we add a foot rating where dan schneider will come to your house and personally harass you
