Man, remember Make Love, Not Warcraft? I recently watched it again and it's still really funny.
Why the fuck does Joe have a mustache?!

"We tried every disgusting scenario possible, but the views keep coming!"
"Damn. There's only one option left. Bring out the red, black and white; we are doing "Spring time for Hitler!"
I still don't know if the Warcraft movie was made for hardcore fans or a general movie audience. Because i tried watching, and as some who hasn't played Warcraft in 15+ years and only vaguely remembers it, and it wasn't easily understandable enough for a general audience.
I admit I chuckled when the dragons came in, because for some reason I didn't expect that. I think I was expecting it to just be guys they were shooting at or something?
But then half a second later, Peter starts saying "oh man where'd they get dragons" with all of the emotion of a DMV worker who hasn't had their coffee.
it was both and neither
dalaran didnt fly in the air until after the third war, yet now it is
garona, canonically, is a half orc and half draenei, but in the movie lore she's medivh's son (????? ask the novelization apparently) and so on
old fam guy was much funnier. the jokes and cuts were snappier
I recently had to go to an eSports bar because reasons, and a few guys ordered shooters and yelled "LEEROY JENKINS" before drinking them.
Are vintage memes a trendy thing now? When's the new wave of Peanut Butter Jelly Time videos?
I don't think Seth Mcmuffin has any creative input anymore and only does voice work, and its probably been that way for a decade by now. Its clear its gone the way of the simpsons and will only end when one of the main voice actors actually die.
I was enjoying the joke right up until they went all CG and just made it stupid.
They should have kept it simple and then moved onto the next bit.
Wow, Family Guy isn't funny, consider me shocked.
It's weird. The movie leaves a lot of blanks that you need an understanding of Warcraft lore to fill in, but at the same time it makes a lot of weird changes (Garona being half orc and half human, and being Medivh's daughter instead of his lover) that will just annoy hardcore fans. It's a mess.
I couldn't get over the choice of having live action mixed with CG. Both orcs and humans have really weird and bulky proportions in the warcraft universe. Since they kept the former and ditched the latter for live actors, the orcs just look comically oversized when they're only supposed to be slightly larger.
WoW cinematics have always been amazing, I can't see why they couldn't have just done a whole movie but like that. Apparently they're grotesquely expensive but how much harder would it have been to replace what little was live action with CG?
On the subject of the Warcraft movie, I read somewhere (and take this with a grain of salt, I might be remembering wrong) that part of the reason the movie is so messy is because the budget kept getting changed, the script didn't settle until really late, and Duncan Jones clashed with the executives on how the movie should actually be made. So a lot of shite went down behind the scenes.
That aside, I do think the scenes just with the orcs were great.
Because Trey and Matt are gamers, they played wow and knew the ins and outs which is what made the episode stand the test of time.
Iseriously don't understand how this show still has a fanbase at this rate.
This this this.
I would probably even crack a smile if they had just launched right into the dialogue from the leeroy jenkins video without painfully explaining the joke, and also advertising the joke?
just randomly transitioning into an ancient meme that their current audience wouldn't even understand would have been kinda novel.
I cant wait for when Stewie dresses up as Knuckles for Halloween and asks everyone if they "know de wey" in ten years.
