Not sure if I'm missing a joke but that's not Melissa McCarthy.
I'm waiting for the Scooby Dum standalone movie https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/2232/ac31c382-f483-4dc6-8092-78aeb02dd3d6/image.png
I really believe they are rushing along too fast with this Cinematic Universe. Already a Daphne and Velma crossover movie and Daphne hasn't even had her own standalone movie yet. I can see they're just trying to rush out the Mystery Inc. film to ape off the success of the Avengers and Justice League.
scooby doo takes place post nuclear apocalypse which ruins all of this technology and leads to scooby doo mutating into a talking dog
Thats Adventure Time you're thinking of
They've all been that way. Like literally every animated Scooby Movie has been direct to video or made for television. Going back to 1979. The only theatrical releases were the first two live action movies.
I know you joke. But wasn't there plans for an actual Hannah Barbara Cinematic Universe?
The lighting in this scene makes no sense to me https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/795/3605a8e9-8b2e-46a2-97bd-9e3b6261a219/isthisanerror.png Like, did they mess up the file when exporting it? What is with the weird sharp changes in color?
The porn parody did a better job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWgT6bcnDgY
Jesus fucking Christ you are right. Can't wait for S.C.O.O.B. later this year or whenever that is. That's actually so bonkers to me.
freddy looks like vladimir putin
I don't see the issue. Looks like a cheap fun series targeted at 12-15 year old girls. I wouldn't watch it personally but it still looks better than most of the stuff that targets this demographic. It's not like Scooby Doo was ever a respectable franchise to begin with that it is above this type of thing.
I could have fucking sworn from the thumbnail that that was Malissa McCarthy and Kate McKinnon Oh God I have problems
Same reason they had laptops in A Pup Named Scooby Doo. Scooby Doo confirmed for most complicated timeline.
In sequel we find out that scooby doo gang been living in computer simulation designed by skynet to create more intelligent and deadly terminators by studying their brain activity while they solved mysteries. Daphne & Velma in this movie are machines created by skynet that replaced originals to test how well they can blend in
Someone pointed it out on Youtube but it seems that to get someone to look like Velma, slap some orange clothing on them and make them wear glasses. Meanwhile, Daphne just looks...off? Why is her hair so big? Also, why pick Daphne and Velma? I get it, it's the two girls of the gang but Daphne never really had a personality other than having so many god damn cousins and clearly being Fred's girlfriend...and also being pretty useless. Even in TV shows, Daphne was just rich, clumsy and no one could ever really understand why she was actually there. I'd like to see a personality developed but I think it's too late to do that, and even if not, this is a terrible way of trying to expand the personalities of the two teenagers. Velma is actually quite funny in the Mystery Incorporated series, but I expect any redeeming qualities of her will be substituted for "stereotypical nerd girl" in this, ahem, "film".
I could never get into Scooby Doo or any of the other Hanna Barbera cartoons really as a kid. Something about the animation style was just really unappealing to me.
In subsequent versions of the show (generally in series done by people who grew up with scooby doo) Daphne did get character development and a good chunk of it, way more so than Fred ever got. Whenever the gang breaks up she usually goes to a job as a TV journalist, despite not actually needing to work due to being loaded (IE in Scooby Doo Zombie Island). Additionally she claims to have a blackbelt in karate, one that she got after being tired the nickname Danger-Prone Daphne. I don't have a problem, you have a problem. I can quit scooby doo whenever I want! Shut up!
It's funny cause i've been watching Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated out of curiosity these days, and it's indeed pretty good. It has the classic mystery adventures but with character development and hints at a bigger mystery a la Gravity Falls. The best one still is Zombie Island, but generally all the 90s direct to videos are pretty good. I never liked how they dropped the character development after those with "What's new, Scooby Doo?"
You made me curious and looked up the show. The Actor voicing Shaggy is the same guy who played him in the two live action films, he's been voicing Shaggy since Mystery Inc.
Supernatural had a neat crossover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZGkhlgWj5A Scooby and the gang have an existential crisis
This must be direct to dvd or something. Maybe netflix or youtube red.
Holy shit I need to watch this right now.
Lol apparently this parody has a higher IMDb rating than all three of the live action movies
