As someone pointed out in the other thread, Tudd would regularly argue that Nazies were actually misunderstood socialists.
The dude is just a straight up neo-nazi, end of.
Maxofs2d? Maybe?
Goddamn it. Where will I find my daily dose of drama now???
this exact thread
Nice zinger, bro. The mod team isn't currently organized enough to pull of any sort of conspiracy, they can't even situate things between themselves lol
WIth Tudd out of the picture ( hopefully forever ), a large part of the toxicity that Facepunch had it has been removed, which makes me optimistic about this tendency not ending here.
However like many said across the years ( and now ) the moderators failed to do their job and now is the time to take responsabilities. If they don't do a public apology then that means they haven't realized of the mistake they did, opening the posibility of future Tudds to come. If they fail to do so then new moderators must be elected in order to fix the current "vulnerability".
I don't really give a shit that it took mods that long, sucks I know, but no sense crying over spilt milk.
Just. Finally.
Good Riddance.
(Though I know a certain fellow poster who also fits Tudd's profile)
((And no, I am not interested in a witch hunt, I am just saying))
An opinion is liking pineapple on pizza or the star wars prequels
Shitting on minorities isn't an opinion, anything that disrespects someone's existence isn't one.
An opinion is anything someone believes in, it doesn't have to be respectful
>That it either took Hezzy years to actually investigate the person multiple respectable members of our community called out on his trolling bullshit or that he thought letting a blatant rule breaker run unopposed for so long was a hilarious joke.
This is a great point and shouldn't be understated. One could use this past week as a reasonable argument that the top brass just doesn't care what the community's eldest members think. There are people who have been around since 2005, who know the ins and outs of this forum, its community, and its policies, who go completely ignored. Tudd is one example, but the megathread debacle is another. It's like we're all just on a bus and the driver is sealed in a soundproof cabin. Nobody, regardless of seniority, is taken seriously about their thoughts on what might work best for the community.
Found him. Sexual messiah continues his quest it seems...

tudd would have been gone ages ago if nobody here took his bait
This whole debacle pretty much confirms what I've said about him in the past in that he's in it for the attention and people just didn't seem to get that. Why would anyone go to great lengths to bullshit their way out of every post they make?
I was no real fan of Tudd or his beliefs/morals, but it was pretty easy for me to forget he existed tbh.
Tudd would have been gone ages ago if the mods banned him for baiting.
it was a lot easier after he lost that giant page devouring pepe avatar the mods gave him lmao
I think I had to adblock his avatar lmfao
Why did this take so long
Any other user would have been banned by the fifth post, why did it take so long for him
Not with that gigantic avatar he had before.
Tudd would've had no power if people had just ignored him, I'm not sure one person getting so much fanfare over being banned really reflects well on any of us tbh
kinda hard to ignore someone when the mods intentionally drew attention to him for the lulz
And when 30+ people get banned for rightfully getting mad at his shit posting, and then closing the discussion thread when people start to raise hell why the 30 get banned insead of the instigator.
I forgot he even existed, I had him on my ignore list and I adblocked his avatar
If a user doesn't get banned but you're also basically not meant to reply to them, the problem isn't the users replying to them.
This is kind of missing the point though. I agree that if you don't feed the trolls then they will move along, mostly. However, he had been an issue for well over a year's worth of time, and it should have been dealt with well over a year ago. Instead, he was given a pedestal and ridiculous leniency unless he really went out of bounds.
But, as a moderator, to say "ignore him" or "pretend he doesn't exist" is a poor stance to take. If we are going to just tell users that we should ignore people who break rules, then why have moderators at all, and just let every person self-moderate the forums themselves by adding users to their ignore list?
The fact of the matter is that he clearly overstepped bounds that other users would have been promptly punished for, and he sewed discord in the process. However he was exempted for whatever reason, be it preventing an "echo chamber", simply different views, some twisted moderator team prank, or what have you.
Also, this isn't meant to be an attack on you, but I've seen the "ignore him" suggestion proposed by others before and I feel like that's a cop out.
I banned him once. Don't remember why it got reversed, but ultimately it was out of our hands.
Can we all just agree as a community not to let something like this come up again? I don't want to have to look at a thread and go "Oh, there's [insert name] causing more trouble again." I mean. I once got banned on oldpunch because my art was bad. Yet, he basically got to stay around and holler whatever he wanted because some folks in power found it funny that people got upset. We really shouldn't reward things like that. It's a new forum, let's try to hold ourselves up a bit more, yeah?
I mean, it was out of your hands sure, but it wasn't out of Hezzy's hands. But it was allowed to continue, and that is the source of the discontent here.
I don't know his ban history off the top of my head, but I'm willing to bet my left nut that there wasn't a ban that actually justified in being overturned.
I would put blame of this solely on Hezzy since he is the one who has the ultimate decision and demonstrated that he was the reason he was kept around, not necessarily the moderators under him.
