Tudd has been permanently banned - General

I've mentioned in at least 3 or more threads that we have new rules being worked on and are just waiting for finalization.

The mods here have pretty good discretion 95% of the time but every now and then some cool kid comes in with the intention of flinging shit and gets away with it pretty easy because they're close with some higher ups. Like who was that gold member dude with the snoop avatar? I recall his shitposting being around much longer than it was welcome.

1) They are clear and concise with enough leniency that we'll still take things on a case by case basis as needed since not everything is so glaringly black and white. It's that way for everything that we do. But we'll be doing our best to handle issues quickly and without too much debate as they come up. 2) Everyone should be subject to the rules, moderator or regular user. Whether or not that will ALWAYS hold true remains to be seen. I'm only telling you what I'm able to tell you right here and now. There were quite a number of us who were tired of having to babysit Tudd, so towards the end, none of us did. It was ultimately not up to the regular moderator team what would happen to him while Hezzy was looking through his conduct. So most of us turned to other issues. I can tell you though that there has never really been another user like him before this debacle happened so I have a feeling there probably won't be after this either.

I honestly became convinced that some members of the mod team actually agreed with the shit he posted.

The mods were just waiting for the new forums to roll in to get rid of Tudd, if they permad him in the old forums he would have just been back when newpunch rolled in.

Again, strongly disagree with this. tudd would have had no power if the mods hadn't given him any power lol. People keep acting like tudd was this troll supreme who made everyone look like utter fools with his amazing ability to twist the rules and not get banned!- but in reality he was an obvious drive by shitposter who openly admitted to trying to get a rise out of people. The mods just decided he got a massive avatar and didn't get banned- but you would be banned if you responded to him?, or even responded to someone responding to him?. You could give the same privileges to any member of this forum and they could become just as infamous if they felt like it.

Why couldn't they have just banned him here? Last I knew, dipshits like SandCastle are ban on sight and aren't allowed back. There are tons of ban on sight individuals. Meanwhile tudd continued to troll for several years with near total impunity.

Years? I've only been back for just over a year. I think you're attributing a lot of things to me. I asked on numerous occasions for the community to provide evidence. They could not or would not. I took it upon myself to trawl through every single thread Tudd had made, spending literally hours of my time and then made a decision based on that. And you're still not happy? There's no pleasing some people. A lot of the bans made by the moderators were done out of emotion and I only reversed probably less than 3 bans. They were all shit bans done simply because the moderators in question didn't like Tudd. He didn't break rules though. That was why he was so difficult to deal with. If you guys really do want a giant list of rules then you will get it. None of the community team were friends with Tudd.

Honest to god, I am in absolute awe at how seriously some of you take this forum sometimes. Oh well. At least Tudd's April fools is still bringing in laughs, over a year later.

This is total bullshit. People have gone through threads by him and then got banned for derailing/threadshitting when they posted dozens of examples of his clear cut attempts to push a narrative.

As if opening just the list of threads that he's created wasn't enough? I can't even start taking you seriously when you say you had to "trawl" through them to find a reason to ban him. He had been sustaining the same pattern of posts for so long that the majority of the community gave up on trying to deal with him. Does that not tell you anything?

Look in the previous Forum Discussion threads if you wish. Every time he was brought up, my response was the same; "provide evidence". Nobody ever did.
