Of course they shouldn't be the primary source of nutrients, that's why we have veggies lol, and of course diversity of all foods
And when I say grains I don't just mean bread, I also mean brown rice, quinoa, cous cous, palenta etc. All the yummy stuff. Obviously with anything, too much is a bad thing.
But yes I do love my rye bread no one will take that away from me 🍞
they were left over from yesterday. and idk, a positive mental attitude i suppose
I usually buy a mix of fresh veggies (any kind of pepper, zuccini, cellery, carrots, cauliflower ... etc.) and turkey or beef. I fry it all together in a big pan with onions and occasionally garlic or ginger and either eat it with bread or with potatoes/sweet potatoes. I like to go light on carbs but heavy on veggies with only a pinch of salt.
In terms of seasoning I use paprika, black/green/red pepper corns and a tiny bit of balsamic vinegar for flavour. If I want to eat spicy, I also like to add lime juice and szechuan pepper corns; they compliment each other really well.
Super delicious meal that you can eat a ton of without it feeling too heavy, because it's mostly veggies.
Had fish, bacon and fried egg for lunch. Simple but delicious.
just ate some chipotle
I eat banana and milk at breakfast and love to eat vegetarin in lunch and dinner like chapati with rice and dal.
I’ve been trying to eat less meat over the years, eg I’ll only ever have meat once per day max, and I’m intending on cutting down the number of times I’ll have it per week. Not because I dislike meat - but it is better for the environment to minimise its consumption.
But that plan took a hit to the head today. I’ve never cooked with spare ribs until today, and although I didn’t do the best job with them, fuck me if that wasn’t a good feed I just had.
UK ectomorphs - for your bulking phase, here's a cheap meal:
ALDI 20 frozen sausages - £1
ALDI potatoes - £1
Deep fat fryer - £10
Keep the oil in it, peel the potato, chop it in to chips. 3-4 potatoes should suffice.
Cook up four of the frozen sausagey bois, grill em up
Season the chips before with salt and pepper
Dip those motherfuckers in at 170 degrees for about 10 minutes, then turn down to 150 for another 10-15
I'm in a huge amount of debt but this costs maybe 50p per 1000 cal. Dirty as fuck though lol
I had pasta today
6 months late but yes it was
im trying to lose weight now so i'm trying out OMAD and making it as healthy as i can tolerate, my favourites are sirloin steak and a tin of sweetcorn with either a jacket potato or those 5% mccains chips, and a pint of semi skimmed milk. i also like my homemade chicken wraps, just some diced chicken in a tortilla with salsa, greek yogurt and mixed lettuce
I had lasagna..didn't like it. Was alright.
Yesterday I had some veggie dogs with roasted red pepper/eggplant spread. It was good, I'd have it again
Call me a weeb, but omurice is fucking delicious. The Japanese are crazy for this one, but fried rice meshes incredibly well with an American-style omelette.
i eat my nerves if it counts.
my favorite thing to eat is 2 eggs with bacon + bread
