Judging by the amount of work Garry's been putting into it, it doesn't seem like it still is.
i know he has other shit to work on, but i would have preferred leaving the old forum as the main forum, continuing to work on this one on the side until it has features that are pretty critical, than leaving the forum as it is right now
Can Garry please hire a dedicated web dev
every post u make is so aggro, go have a wank mate
Nice news.
You apparently don't know the half the story so mind your business mate.
Mind my own business? It's an internet forum you fucking spanner, I can reply to anyone I like. You probably don't have the bollocks to say that to someone in real life so you have to wait till you get on here
cool, "fight me bruv". This isn't about your balls - the guy said "good riddance" to someone on this forums hanging themselves. He didn't even get so much as a slap on the wrist (despite multiple people being banned for the same over the years) The official stance on the matter is: The wonderful sound of complacency. So yeah, I feel pretty justified in calling him out on his shit, since he seems to have come out of OIFY for 5 minutes to visit
I already know that stuff, I was here when it happened. Its just really weird being told "mind your own business" a) on a public forum and b) like you're trying to intimidate me
The fuck am I reading.
Judging by your explanation you only know half the story too xd
Pipe down lads pipe down we've all had a pint
That'd be great, someone could finally fix the broken word wrap on Firefox
a load of fucking nonsense
tl;dr angry reddit users
When Chavs Collide
uh not to backseat moderate but under normal circumstances isn't posting shit like this an extremely bannable offense? just checking if flaming is now acceptable
you can take the boy out the streets...
it's a reference to the time an FPer hung themselves to commit suicide, they died, and crapt posted "how's it hanging? heh" on their Facepunch visitor messages among other things as a mod
got away with it and banned people who complained about it in forum discussion too don't forget that part
Imagine giving a shit about something that happened nearly 4 years ago, im sure it has not impacted your life.
I know you said no more but hopefully you'll at least accept a question: Why can't you just accept that your actions were out of line and apologize for it? If you did then people would drop it already rather than continuing to bring it up over and over.
if you're someone whose dealt with suicidal depression then seeing a moderator berate a dead user on their profile kind of impacts them yknow?
What? No. Bring the separate notification categories back. Wtf?
I don't like how I have to click on rating notifications to mark them as read now, thus taking me to the page.
The created threads and level up notif categories were pointless, but there should definitely still be a "Thread" tab for subscribed threads, and a "Personal" tab for ratings and level stuff. Rolling it all into one single notif tab makes the whole thing unreadable.
Ok, what is the reasoning for this change?
Reply and mention tab was better than the ticker, and I always ublocked the rating tab for being useless why... make this change, what? It was INSANELY comfy there.
Created threads isn't useless if you actually subscribe to subforums. I found it quite useful myself. (And combining those with subscribed threads is going to be confusing because it'll make it more difficult to tell which ones I'm not already subscribed to if I want to be updated on them later and don't want to make a post in them.) The level up one was extremely useless though since it seems like it could only ever display a single notification at any given time. That one would've done better combined with the ratings notifications instead.
Oh cool now there's an arbitrary post limit on threads too. "We have to move away from vbulletin because its datedness means it's full of arbitrary limits" "Ok great now we're here it's time to hardcode arbitrary limits"
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
