the hell is with the US
I've heard so many horror stories about McDonalds, KFC, and BK in the US, but Maccas, Hungry Jacks (Aus BK) and KFC are pretty good
I just wish they would bring back that sandwich that was two chicken breast as buns. I don't care how bad it is for you that shit was so tasty. I regret only getting it once or twice.
there's usually nothing inherently wrong with the food itself, it's the people who cook the food not giving a shit about making sure the food is properly prepared. mcdonalds and burger king at their best are fucking delicious. burger king has great chicken sandwiches and nuggets. mcdonalds has godly french fries and breakfast. but if you're even remotely unlucky, you'll get food that has been sitting there all day, or is undercooked. which sets a bad impression for most people and they tend to not want to go back, because why waste money on poorly prepared food? no matter how cheap it is.
It was called Double Down, and if you got it grilled it was the taste of ambrosia.
I know why Americans don't like KFC. Went to one over there and the chicken looked nothing like the pictures on the menu, so much so that i thought I had gone to a fake KFC franchisee. It had a thin coat of skin, nothing crunchy there at all. Then I went to another and it turned out a lot of them were like that. Nothing like over here, where you'd be done over by the ASA if you tried selling that
It also feels like this problem is spreading across the US lately, and not just from incompetent workers but also cutting costs and other factors.
popeyes happened
why the fuck would i pay more for shittier chicken when popeyes exists
though honestly i dont know why people act like KFC wasn't always like this, i feel they were, they just had no real huge market competition, now chick-fil-a and popeyes have cornered the market and KFC just can't keep up
100% this. When I'm in the mood for a fast food, I pick exclusively on what's cost effective for what I get. I almost always end up getting Jersey Mikes subs, McDonalds, or Taco Bell. If I'm paying more than that for food, I'm just going to eat at a decent diner or something, you know a place where I get a full meal for the around but usually >$10 I'm paying for the meal.
my problem with kfc is you have to get there at the right time to get fresh chicken. if you go there past 7pm it's just been sitting there for ages.
We don't have KFC where I live in Norway, but I went to Gothenburg in Sweden a month ago and had KFC there, me and my gf both loved their chicken wings and nuggets. Very crispy, and it seemed like real chicken. They were also quite spicy, which I appreciate. Sucks that there is such a huge difference :///
