I dont get much of the hate for the game. I played it with friends, and we all enjoyed it, save for the announcer screaming 6 lines of dialogue when you died. Feels like a nice middle of the road between PUBG and Fortnite
Ok, i have played this for a while and i must say this game it has it's goods and bads, so here it's my take as a EA title:
Way to early to be released, it should had more refinement on the mechanics before launching, the whole animation and model assets stuff could be done later during EA.
Is not pay 2 win but it cuts the fun of customizing your character by half since most of clothes are way too much expensive to buy with in-game cash.
Shooting and the armor system is something weird, shooting over the shoulder doesn't mean you will land your first shot even though you are crouched and standing still and the target is like medium-close range and going auto while engaging a close range battle means praying to RNG to be on your side. Armor doesn't seem to protect the way it should, with a LVL 3 armor and helmet you can still die very easily for a LVL 0-1 weapon, especially SMGs since the armor barely protects your health.
Weapons are not balanced correctly while comparing to other types, a small pistol, i think is the Grueber something like that, is more accurate than M14 somehow. Shotguns are mixed bag since there is only 3 variations: 2 LVL 0's that are pretty much useless unless you don't have any other weapon and one LVL 4 which is a god like when used it. FAL destroys people meanwhile the other rifles struggles to be efficient while comparing towards the SMGs, especially the AK.
Punching is a joke, wins who smash the M1 button first. Even though your character is not doing the animation he still punching. Is funny because if you spam you can kill someone with a weapon very quickly.
Consumables are ok, just the radar should be a timed delay instead of amount of uses because is extremely useful for quiet times and close to the end game.
The zone should be more quick, to engage even more battles and instead of being a just pop and the zone is there it should be a slow burning like the other BR games do.
The events are meh, you barely has a chance to participate unless you are close to it, so it should be more frequent, have more variety and be available in more areas simultaneously .
Bikes are a joke: they are not common to find, you can't use one handed weapons(pistols, Terminator shotgun) meanwhile driving it, which it should be a thing and the races you barely has a chance to participate because you need to be lucky to have a bike within you and be able to reach the start and the finish line with no chance of encountering danger since you are very vulnerable on it.
Shops are a good idea, the only thing is you should have a ATM close to every shop so people are more engaged to withdraw money frequently to buy.
