That action man cartoon is possibly the most 90s thing ive ever seen. I remember having it on video tape as a kid, didn't it get kinda dark and weird in later episodes? with the villain doing shit stealing people's bodies and attempting literal genocide lol.

This shit made me want to be an animator as a kid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuW3QDNKC7I
You know your cartoon is obscure if you can find full episodes of it on youtube
omg, for the longest time I remember watching this when I was super young, and I never knew the name of it, cause it was on an unmarked vhs.
so these aren't really obscure for when they are relevant but i doubt many kids in the early-mid 2000's were watching really vintage anime these two were my favorites https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtXcXUVlLqU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYm-Ba1jIE0 I picked the japanese opening for the latter because there's like 2 or 3 different English dubs all with their own weird quirks. Also it's just so fucking good.

Used to get hooked on to this show as a kid when it was its own separate thing on Nicktoons and it kind of somehow still holds up.

The What a Cartoon! show would be mine. It was a show that aired mostly one-off cartoons, but some of them actually ended up turning into successful series. Shows like The Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and I think Cow and Chicken as well had their pilot episodes aired on What a Cartoon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKk1m3Lf--w
Thats.... That's Gilbert Gottfried...

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this because most of the cartoon/animation here are for kids. While i did watched a few kids cartoon, i remember watching A LOT of late-night animation shows that were intended for teens and usually aired after 10:00PM. And also the cartoons/animation that i've watched were already posted here. I definitely remember watching these two shows late at night. Despite their cheesy lines and dialogue, they had pretty good animation and the music especially got me hooked into their show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eomg697A8L8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHvN25QPWGE I'm still waiting a season 2 for these two shows, even though it's not happening.

only 2 i can think of were cramp twins & ozzy and drix, though i just remembered this cartoon about a 2 female singers in a music act together, one was goth and the other had a kind of bubblegum pop style, and they just drove around in a tour bus with their fat middle age manager going on adventures

Oh man, I had completely forgotten about this, but this theme song was lurking somewhere in the back of my mind something fierce. And those characters. Thanks for the nostalgia!
