Honestly not holding super high hopes for the main character just based on how he looks
Arthur seems like he'll have nuances, and hopefully he'll have good aspects to his character. The way he looks at that scarred up fella makes me think he cares for him. I have a feeling that at least some parts of the game will take place after Red Dead Redemption 1, it seems like Arthur gets to mourn everyone else.
Judging by the fact that he was never mentioned in RDR1 means one of two things. He lives and left the gang therefore John had no reason to hunt him, or *Insert Undertaker style throat slit here*
I'm thinking he's the first one John hunts down. He kills you, and then you get to do freeroam for the rest of the game as John.
For me it feels like an unnecessary prequel due to how a lot of things had already been wrapped up in the plot regarding Dutch's gang in the first game already. A game taking place in an earlier period but with a new set of characters instead could had been more engaging instead.
Although the potential setpieces and exploring the gang's biggest exploits are pretty nice at least. And the new protagonist wasn't mentioned in the first game so maybe there's at least some intrigue on that.
they can get fucked if they don't release it on pc
I really don't want to get a console for a single game.
this is why two years prior i bought xbox one
Looking good so far, hope their multiplayer system will be less clunky than GTA5
I'm probably going to eat these words but part of me feels that this won't have a totally cash grabbing multiplayer with a neglected single player. Everyone and their nan knows that GTA:O is now set up to influence you to buy shark cards, but I believe it's an outlier in that aspect for Rockstar.
Ive seen far too many people making jokes (albeit understandably) about flying horses with missile launchers for RDR2 to actually take that approach. If they do they'll join the likes of EA for big name game companies that are loathed by fans who have to just put up with it.
I'm hoping the single player is more fleshed out, but I fully expect a shark card equivalent in this game somewhere. Take 2 themselves announced that microtransactions aren't leaving their games any time soon.
Man the Brokeback Mountain sequel took a really dark turn.
They released a bunch of screenshots for the IGN thing or whatever.

Larger animals you've hunted and killed are carried on the back of your horse. They'll decay over time so make sure you get back to camp as soon as possible.
That's pretty neat.
Even if there are microtransactions, I'm sure there will be plenty of ways around them via money glitches. I've been able to experience everything GTA Online has to offer, and I barely bought any shark cards. I got a couple of the cheap ones when they were on sale because I'm an impulse buying idiot.
Looks pretty good, loved sitting in the basement for a week straight playing the first Red Dead Redemption while on summer holiday.
Hoping for a PC release though, don't really want to buy either console.
Also, 1899? Not a big history guy so I never thought of how "recent" the wild west times were, cool.
still waiting for the PC version to be announced
You might wanna make some coffee then, You're gonna be waiting a while.
I think this guy said the same thing with RDR, let's check in on him
