This is why the best comic book movie in recent memory was Dredd. It wasn't a grand, world hangs in the balance plot. It was just a day in the life of 1 judge and a drug syndicate. It was stylish and yet grounded, as well as a personal, contained story that didn't at all diminish the stakes. If anything the stakes feel higher because they're more realistic than dumb world ending bullshit with superheroes you know won't die.
Why does about every Disney Marvel movie look like it was directed by the exact same amateur television director even when someone more presitigious like Ryan Coogler gets hired on? Daredevil at least the first season looks more like a film than these soulless blockbuster husks. The CGI is usually bad too. Frustrating how heavily this franchise influences pop culture.
About your critically acclaimed part, remember about Fortnite and Pubg and other games equal to them. Or fuck, pretty much every gaming trend.
I never cared for Marvel movies either but all my friends do and when they want to go see a movie it's usually when one of these turd nuggets come out. I just literally don't care for the exact same reason Pewdiepie mentioned. I also just don't care about superheroes. There's nothing appealing to me about someone having superpowers. The morals are one in the same and the plots are the exact same shit repackaged with a different paint job. There's literally 3 hero franchises I care about and that's: Spider-Man; but only the Homecoming version of Peter Parker. The Guardians of the Galaxy Deadpool.
Exactly the same the same thing to me, though, I'll admit that I really liked the Sam Raimi's Spiderman aswell and I really liked Black Panther, but not as a superhero flick at all
