That's still just one franchise and I wouldn't exactly say it's that good of an attempt at a wacky post apocalypse. I'd love to see someone do a better job at it.
Rage had some of the most fun to fight enemies I've played in singleplayer FPS games. Just the way they reacted seemed so dynamic. I'm hoping that detail hasn't gone over their head for this.
When was the last borderlands game? It's been a while since we've had one in all honesty. Who cares.
last borderlands game is next e3 because randy pitchford's company has no money after aliens colonial marines and battleborn
Well at least the music was good.
The only thing I remembered about Rage 1 was how great all the character animations were
It was so active and expressive
Is the first RAGE worth picking up? I'm more concerned about it having fun gameplay than anything else. What game is it best compared to?
Personally I'd be down for a Quake 5.
Honestly don't care if it's a call-back to the original Quake, or a continuation of the Stroggos storyline of Quake 2 & Quake 4.
We've got Doom 2016 revitalizing Doom. I'd like to see the same for Quake.
Me lol :v I'd rather they try something new instead
There’s not that many of this type of game out now though
like 8 or 10 years ago yes
That was a really shit trailer.
As for RAGE when I did play it, I completely lost interest when I started fighting the Authority and the PC port was awful.
People who liked Rage and don't want it to become a Borderlands knockoff? Especially since Borderlands has been going downhill since the first game.
My point was I want a game like this for that exact reason
I really liked Rage when I played it but it's not worth picking up on the PC. The PC version was terrible when it came out and time has not been kind to it. It barely works if you can get it to run at all.
I'm probably going to reinstall RAGE and play it today
Bethesda just got their re-release erection
Suicide Squad: The Video Game
Rage would legitimately benefit from a rerelease which made the game actually run well, or at all.
I'm thoroughly confused as to who what and why this is even being made, I thought Rage was okay when I played it but I thought it flopped, and now they're making a sequel how many years after the fact?
Do we know what engine the game will run on? Got a feeling we won't be seeing similar AI behaviour in RAGE which made it such an enjoyable game. Oh well, here's hoping they'll keep whacky shotgun ammo types (perhaps actually make them a necessity to swap types rather than pop rocket = win) and spiderbots.
Probably id Tech 6 since Rage 1 ran on id Tech 5, and almost all of Bethesda games in the past few years has been running on id Tech
I dunno. Could end up decent. Avalance definitely know how to make an open world game and id Software knows how to make a good shooter.
Just imagining a Quake game with Mick Gordon and Trent Reznor doing the soundtrack gets me rock hard.
If Rage 2 invoked effectively the same feelings as the first I wouldn't even look in it's direction.
This is at least different, so I'll actually be paying attention to what they have to show- even if it could potentially be just worst.
IMO rather than Id working on a new single-player Quake they should just try to expand/improve upon the DOOM series because I feel that a new Quake in that style wouldn't set itself apart very well and Quake Champions at least is trying to create revitalized interest in arena shooters.
Though, considering that QC is being worked on by a B-team at Id with the support of Saber and RAGE 2 appears to largely be done by Avalanche I think a new DOOM is exactly what they're making.
That's likely the case seeing as this isn't an id game.
or Quake
RAGE's biggest issue was how fucking asinine and boring the commute between objectives was so if they manage to make that part fun (which I guess is the point of having Avalanche Studios onboard) then perhaps it'll turn out better than its predecessor.
It needed farl ess dead air.
