I'm so disgusted of the hyperfuture gimmick gadget bullshit. Black Ops 2 was the perfect balance and everything after has been overkill.
Cant wait for the fidget spinner dlc.
Fr whatever reason, Activision doesn't lower the prices of their games on Steam.
on steam? I'm under the impression that they don't want to lower the prices of their games period.
I'm actually quite interested in the Battle Royale thing. The general concept appeals to me but the games i've seen or played are either too clunky or too slow-paced, CoD can probably do something that fixes both of those.
Multiplayer will probably solid like the other games too.
Still not interested enough to buy for 60eu though.
All this just screams "We're not taking any risks since we're going to make bunch of money anyway"
Its kinda sad but expected
thats not what I’m confused about.
he put Black Ops 3 was both $60 and $40, which isn’t even true since you can pick it up for $30 on Amazon
I dunno man. Removing campaign mode is kinda risky.
Not risky, but ridiculous.
Wasn't wallrunning limited to certain walls in blops 3? It wasn't very interesting. Plus I would argue that both Titanfall games had better movement, but eh, it's subjective I guess.
Is it confirmed its Battlenet only
if so thats fucking stupid
I need to play Titanfall at some point, I don't know how much I'd like it over Blops 3's movement but it looks good.
Can you do rocket-slides like in Blops 3?
At least previous games had a sense of identity and trying to be what the devs want them to be, besides fucking Ghosts and maybe Modern Warfare 3.
Here, beyond Activision fucking over the campaign, it feels like more than ever this is an executive-ordered product, a trend-following muck shoveled out at a corporate demand rather than Treyarch's. It'll still probably sell, but I wouldn't be surprised if Activision is willing to put their assholery on Treyarch's shoulders if this doesn't go well, and then Treyarch could be pushed towards the dev chopping block in the long term.
Pretty much. Having not played BO3 I can’t say how the levels were designed, but in Titanfall 2 he levels were designed with wall running in mind. In some cases, you can practically run circles around enemies and feel like a god on the battlefield.
Plus it has mechs and who doesn’t love that?
TF1 and especially 2 are fucking incredible with wall running:

Speed was key in TF2, and if you knew what you were doing with bunny hopping, you could travel across most maps in 10-20 seconds by foot. TF2's maps are double/triple the size of blops 3.
A lot of people I know who still play CoD hate wall running and fluid movement because they can't sit in a cornor and camp
I just want this overrated series to finally die
I looked at some TitanFall 2 tutorials, that does look smoother than Blops 3 and has more depth, and for a game like TF it probably works better, but I kinda prefer how movement in Blops 3 felt like exoskeletons doing their job.
In Blops 3 you feel your exoskeleton locking onto a wall, you feel the boost when you thrust-jump and thrust-slide. It just did its job so well.
For comparison, in TF it feels like you're smoothly flying along, but you also need to abuse the engine to do it by spamming slide-jump and strafe jumping.
It's hard to pick one over the other since they're both very different intentions.
Supposedly one reason people hate wallrunning and jetpacks is because it’s hard to do on consoles, and that’s why they love removing a genuinely cool feature BOTG so much. It’s easier for console players to play.
Did someone say Titanfall 2?

Titanfall seems to be a really satisfying game to watch so I can't imagine how fun it would be to play. Too bad I'm punkbuster banned so I can't play any games on my account or the 100's of dollars worth of Battlefield content I have all because I forgot to change my password and someone breached my account.
My fav part of the stream was the Battle.Net thing "you can see what friends are playing, talk to friends, talk to friends whilst playing Call Of Duty whislt they're play Overwatch", like yeah great thanks, that's always what I wanted
I'm ambivalent towards the whole advanced movement/boots on the ground thing, I think CoD works well either way, but I just want to see the gimmicks rolled back in favor of returning to the days when CoD games were known for great optimization and netcode. It feels like that while network play in a series like Battlefield has leapt forward since Bad Company 2, Call of Duty, technically, has degraded.
