Well sooner or later it was bound to bite Belgium in the ass for staying in that formation for too long.
I think it's the fatigue. The Belgians have started making multiple mistakes per play and their counter-attacks have lost their sharpness. I think Martinez did right in holding off the subs until the last possible minute. The Brazilians also tired themselves out trying to equalize and now at 1 - 2, it sure looks like Belgium is taking it home.

Belgium really had Brazil's number there. Defended so well, literally just wouldn't let them engage in any goal-front shenanigans. Particularly Neymar. He played shockingly- he didn't realise that the only way they were gonna score was from outside the box until practically the last minute. He hindered their team massively with his attempts to try and wrangle a penalty (ref wouldn't have it because he's notorious for it) and crossing it in instead of trying shots.
