Sad to see England go out, but congratulations to Croatia.
I look forward to seeing England at the Euros, with a bit of improvement (our control of the ball was frankly appalling in some parts of the second half) we could do really well.
Hell of a fucking match. Goddamn
Semis is still a million times better than we were hoping for before and this squad is only going to be better in 2 and 4 years time. Salty about the refereeing but ah well, GL Croatia I guess.
Calling that Belgium will beat us in the 3rd place play-off to salt the wound
Unlucky bois, we will get'em next time! Well played Croatia.
Honestly so happy and proud of our team, got involved more in this than any football events before so the England team have done their job of being ambassadors brilliantly.
Look forward to seeing their progress over the next few years. And pickford is a dreamboat and keeper of the tournament
Astounded we got this far, Pickford was faultless. It's been so long since we won that coming this far now feels like an underdog story
England threw that away, they really should've kept possession in the 2nd half instead of passing it back all the time and then kicking it long down the pitch only for a croat to get the ball. Totally self destructive play and unnecessary.
The way England collapsed after that equalizer completely surprised me. Gave me flashbacks of Brazil in 2014 V. Germany. Croatia had a couple chances the following minutes to bag it 3-1 or 4-1.
Well, England is out, but given how well we have done at this tournament it is a solid foundation to build from. I am optimistic about the future of the England side for the first time in my life and I really hope this is the beginning of something special.
Congratulations to Croatia, I hope you can win the whole thing and really make your mark in football history.
Final is practically on a silver platter for France now.
Underestimating teams like Croatia is exactly how England lost today. The game can go either way Sunday.
Obviously Denmark was kicked out by the future world cup champions (I mean, let's face it, France isn't gonna be able to even cross the mid-line of the playing field), and really Denmark should've won that game, so who's really the world cup winner huh? Just asking the interesting questions here.
