They really missed an opportunity by not rotating the 'b' to be a lowercase 'g'
Someone's gotta pay for those music videos.
Heh heh yeah they learned the hard way what happens when el' budgeto goes poof towards the end of Plastic Beach.

Love the new single!
isnt tina weymouth a big part of the gorillaz? or am I crazy?
tina did some gust vocals, that's about it. She's a founder of talking heads and now part of the tom tom club.
oh ok i thought she was the bass player on at least the first album cuz theres so many killer bass lines, and I knew she was one of the first people I heard about working on the gorillaz, other than del and albarn obviously

Here's a bit from "Tranz"
OOoooh I can already tell I'mma like that one.
His eyes only turn black when Jack Black leaves, ergo, JB was possessing him with his funky riffs
They played a lot of the songs off the new album live yesterday, and it is really starting to seem like this could end up being my favorite gorillaz album. Really digging Tranz and Souk Eye.
Here is all the new songs they perfomed:
Oh shit it's all good
It's all good
Kind of crazy how it felt like we hardly got any full tracks from Humanz up until it came out and now it's like we've got half the album of Humility and it was announced just a short time ago.
Makes me think they really weren't all that hyped about Humanz themselves but ended up having to push it out anyway due to record label/budget worries.
Probably going to be an unpopular opinion but all these songs are a solid okay for me. Humanz was hit or miss on every song but when it hit it definitely had some intense energy like Momentz, Submission, and Charger. These songs seem kind of floaty.
Calling it now, in concert Ace is gonna get rugby tackled by Murdoc partaway through a song.
I'm getting some Plastic Beach vibes from those songs. I mean that in a good way.
Lake Zurich reminded me of a DKC song and I got a little carried away

The Gorrila/Kong parallels make it better.
Well jeez if the live versions of those tracks sound that good I can only imagine how lit the studio versions are gonna be.
Okay i only listened to Souk Eye because i don't wanna spoil myself but honestly i can already tell this is their best album since Damon Days
Or at the very least is as good as Plastic Beach.
i'd say it fills the hole that humanz left
Yeah. Humanz had a few seriously good tracks but a lot of medicore ones as well. I'm excited for this album because I've got a road trip coming up and I wanna throw together a New Gorillaz cassette. Until now I've had trouble even filling up even half of one side due to the sparsity of good tracks (in my opinion) on Humanz.
Also, Tranz would make for some seriously good driving / motorsports montage beats.

Oh shit, I remember when he performed Idaho live at the concert I went to and I thought it was just a throwaway joke. In fact the audio sounds almost like the rendition he did exactly at the concert which would be pretty funy

Another PPG reference?

You could tell me that was a Daft Punk song featuring Damon and I wouldn't ask any questions
Regardless I love it
