Half of America? That's an extremely conservative statistic. I don't exactly go around surveying, but I don't know a single U.S. born person with an intact penis. And if I did survey, I'm willing to bet a large majority.

The biggest criticism of when people bring up male circumcision against female is the severity; it's generally agreed upon that FGM is way more severe and harmful than male circumcision. That said, people on the other side love to use that very generally agreed concept as almost a "defense" against male circumcision. "It's not as bad," but still totally ignoring the fact that people are, you know, snipping penises.

And a lot of it for "aesthetic." Like the most disgusting thing to hear is people essentially wanting cosmetic genital surgery on their newborns.
