I disagreed, mostly due to the noise it made. Also installed an aux cable to my stock radio but I either need someone with Lexia soft- and hardware or to go to the dealership.
It's the 4 door

Trans was bone dry, motor was soaked. Pulled the plugs, turned over the motor, no water came out that i could see. Flooded it with WD40 and double tarped it but oh boy play stupid games win stupid prizes
Which Mazda?
first gen Mazda 3, 2.3l.
Going to apply for my Provisional Driving License tomorrow, only problem is finding a car in the family that I can drive that isn't either automatic or broken. At the moment I'll probably be stuck with a 2003 Vauxhall Astra, which I guess isn't too bad, but it has horrible problems such as grunting, lerching and not knowing the correct date in the system (sounds like a description for an old dog tbh)
Nice. A rear sway bar will definitely help the car feel sportier. Less body roll, tighter turning radius...
Tighter turning radius? From a sway bar? No. That's not how they work.
my 20 hp though. . . . . .
Got the PT all fixed up. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/222894/136468b0-f6ba-4542-a7f5-5149746072a2/image.png Swapped the Wastegate off of my Neon SRT-4 and now it makes the boost it should. Lmao. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/222894/80f615fc-9f1a-45c2-8e4f-3e773d1f5ae9/image.png I also made a rip-off of the car vloggers. Cringe on purpose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYI5vuhjxHQ
Been a while since I've looked here! I have a Miata and met Strontboer on Zandvoort on my first trackday. In the meantime I've driven alot of times on TT Assen Circuit and a couple of times on the Nurburgring. Here are some pictures. https://i.imgur.com/B7GUw4s.jpg
Which standalone did you go with?
So my brakes showed up today. But not really https://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/xlarge/CLP-4852CBK55_xl.jpg?rep=True Out of all this (plus the not pictured stuff, like the adapter plate), guess how much was in the box? Go on. Guess. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/228931/b4726689-d0d3-4d16-a882-783fa31281cd/IMG_1300.JPG One brake rotor. I am not enthused.
ME221, pretty happy with it, easy software to work with
You guys... My turbo arrived today I'm so giddy. And clueless. I'm probably gonna break something expensive
Anyone ever use liquid JB weld to patch a pinhole in a gas tank? It's drained and dry, if that helps.
Alright i submitted a complaint, summit got back real quick and commissioned another kit for me for free, which was nice. https://puu.sh/ANGIi/712d3c5a73.png RIP dreams of august.
Cut the rest!
Oh yeah boys, my new front rotors and pads have held strong for the last 2 weeks. EBC rotors, Brembo pads. I had to go cheap, but I wasn't going too cheap. It's going to cost like, less than half for me to do my rears, but tbh they're probably fine for another forever. The front rotors looked like they hadn't been changed since 2001 when the car came from the factory lol. It was high time for the fronts to be done. I'm amazed the dealership hadn't buggered me about it the like ~1.5-2 years ago (shit I can't remember anymore) when I last went to one.
Day 39. Car's still in the shop.

I may have accidentally a car. https://i.imgur.com/7EjlFtm.jpg it was 700 euro tho. single owner car, inspection lasts till november 2019, serviced really heavily and runs super great, sadly the bottom is rusted to shit, knew that when I bought it though.
There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s beautiful
Base model 156s sell for around $3,000 here but the GTA models are still selling for around $15,000... actually more than even most 159 3.2 JTS V6 models. Unbelievable, didn’t realise there was an Alfa that didn’t depreciate as fast as a rocket can accelerate! Haha. Dear lord I found a 156 selling for $43,000, but fuck it’s clean https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2003-Alfa-Romeo-156-GTA-Manual/OAG-AD-15833698?id=OAG-AD-15833698
yeah the issue is the rust is so bad up here in denmark, all the 156s are rusted to shit and back. the one I bought isn't actually THAT bad, but each corner of the panels are decently awful and I'm pretty sure there's atleast 4 places I could put a finger right through it.
Mate, all 156s everywhere are probably rusted to hell. It wasn’t unheard of for Italian cars built in the 60’s and 70’s to have rusted bodies before they even rolled off of the production line. And as we all know, Alfa have been carrying on the tradition in one form or another ever since. It’s the Italian charm. It’s why we hate to love Alfas. Man I love Alfas. If it makes you feel any better about your purchase (but you already seem somewhat satisfied), just remember that it wouldn’t be an Alfa if there wasn’t something wrong with it.
haha yeah i'm good, it was 700 euros, drive it till the wheels fall off and all right. my ford wont pass inspection too easily this time around and that needs to be done by august, and my bmw is by no means ready so the most viable option was to buy this for next to nothing and drive that for a while.
I finally got around to work on my volvo again, ( i hate working because that thing owes me so much money and is nothing worth after my sister crashed it) But hey the front is now somewhat complete https://i.imgur.com/bBD8VgN.jpg
Dorfito turns
This is a fallacy; all Alfas since the 164 have been galvanized from the factory. The 156 is just a very old car; not much survives to that age without some TLC. They suffer from the same gremlins as any other car but only get called on it because of their reputation. VAG stuff is equally reliable but without any of the charm or appeal. Congrats Psygo; is it a 1.6 or 1.8 Twin Spark? The 156 is a gorgeous car, and I really like the velour interior too. Much rarer than the leather nowadays. My third Alfa and first proper 'project car' (146 Ti) is arriving next week - I can't wait!
