I last played in like January or something. Did they fix the god awful hit detection, desync and lag yet?
it's better than it was, but still not great. Lag compensation is the bare minimum, as is Quake tradition, so high ping is noticeable.
It's not intrusive at all. The most noticeable thing is that enemies sometimes take a split second to actually die and ragdoll from your killing shot. Other than that, the experience is totally fine and I haven't noticed myself missing any shots due to bad hitreg.
I have mostly just been doing 1v1 instagibs with my friend. I play Slash for speed and cornering.
I play Doomguy because he doesn't have any annoying voice lines (although he lacks low-HP gasp noises too.) I guess it's a tradeoff there.

This applies to a lot of things, some political, but here's an example: The existence of people, mostly men, that creep, grope, kidnap, force, rape, and kill innocent people.
I can’t change these people.
How could I accept them? Does that not make me a terrible person?
Or can I accept their existence but still dread and hate them, and their effect on society? Does that count as “accepting something I can't change”?
It leaves me angry and feeling hopeless. Shouldn't acceptance bring inner peace?
Is the only thing for it to not think about it too much because it doesn't affect me? Isn’t that terribly selfish?
