i'd say try being a leeds fan but were fucking going up this year
Hughes seems pretty comfortable as the new manager so hopefully we will have a better season
No rioting? Pleasantly surprised.
I expected something as well, but honestly I think losing just deflated everything I passed by a couple pubs after the game last night and you mainly saw guys walking quietly home. Sad but not angry.
Anybody got any tips or advice for booking a long haul flight? London to Japan is like 12 hours, I want to not fucking DIE from being uncomfortable (it'll be first time flying)
Went to Pizza Hut today. They forgot the pepperoni on my pizza, which I pointed out as they bought it to my table. They let me eat that one whilst they cooked a whole new (free) pizza for me to take home. Ayyy
Quick question, is the UK at large hoping for Croatia or the frogs to win?
If there's anything worse than an Englishman it's a Frenchman
Having done like, 6 10+ hour flights in the past year, there is no way to be comfortable, just ways to make it less uncomfortable. Get a neck pillow, absolutely try and get a window seat (something to lean on) and considering it's a direct flight, get an early flight, pull an all nighter and then get sleep on the plane to make it go faster, also helps adjust to the timezone, sorta.
Pretty much this, I like getting extra legroom seats too, but if they're near a toilet you'll probably spend the entire flight just about dozing off before being awoken by someone treading on your feets (cunts)
Once you're in the plane you'll be keeping yourself occupied watching movies or something, unless you are magically able to sleep.
You just get on with it.

absolute mad lad made it to turnberry last night lmao
I was working in Golden Square yesterday, and we had to pass the Trump protest down Regent Street to get to Oxford Circus. It was incredibly well mannered all things considered, it always makes me laugh to see those tiny political parties that nobody cares about try to get national attention too. "British Communist Party!" "Kelvedon Grassroot policies!" A bit sad I didn't get to see the giant baby though.
Anyone live/lived in Cheltenham or Gloucester ? I've got a job interview in Cheltenham at the end of next week and after doing a quick browse on estate agent sites, it seems like a nice place to live. Plus you can get good rates on studio flats, which would be ideal for a single loser like myself.
I've lived nearby if that helps.
Gloucester is grey and depressing.
Cheltenham has some really nice areas and some not so great areas, it really varies a lot. Can be quite pricey. Plenty of stuff to do, nice city to explore.
i live about 20 minutes away from Cheltenham, it is really pretty nice though there are bad bits of course. try to stay away from Gloucester though, i lived in the inner city there for most of my life and it seems like every five years or so they just put a new veneer over the scuzz. rapidly-expanding homelessness problem because they shut down all the shelters, quite a few dilapidated or just plain abandoned office buildings and warehouses, typically within spitting distance of the fancy new apartments and shopping centers. i could go on for days honestly
Cheltenham it is! I kind of expected wherever you go there are shit parts and nice parts, similar to London. Here's hoping I'll get the job because I definitely need a change and this job move could be it.
Child me: We got pancakes! I can't wait to microwave them for breakfast in the morning!
Adult me: I bought pancakes! I can't wait to microwave them for breakfast in the afternoon!
i like to take a bite out of all 5 of them at once straight out the packet
you're a mad man. like the kind that would go full warlord the moment the nukes wipe out civilisation
Right, I thought the entire point of a heatwave was it had a beginning and an end to it? I can barely remember using my duvet in bed at this point
I'm on a building site with the windows covered, It's like a sweat lodge with barely passable English.
i guess this is just life now
It rained in Newcastle today, of course I didn't check the weather before I left so didn't take a coat to work. Got drenched at lunch time and also walking home lol.
still preferable to the unbearable heat though
Spent all of saturday at a maize maze with my friend and his daughters, luckily maps were provided so we didn't fall prey to the on site Minotaur.
could have been corn-fusing if you got lost. 'Ears hoping you didn't get too affected by the sun.
Luckily I'm the skeleton menace so I didn't have to pop my shirt like a right cob-head.
That was just corny
Why is there chinese propaganda outside the British Museum?
Saw a big poster on a stick about supposedly how that Tibetan monk immolating himself was fake and a campaign to stop live organ transplants or donations?
