I'm with Plusnet non fibre. Obviously this is a deal that I've been given for being with them for a few years, but I'm paying £1 a month (I pay line rental up front) for on average 14mbps. Two people in the flat play WoW on this connection and it's fine, and works perfectly fine with Netflix streaming, downloading Steam games etc. The only streaming site I've had issues with was NowTV, but I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, since their streaming program gave me some serious malware. As for the connection, it's been pretty solid. Sometimes you get issues but that comes with all ISPs as mentioned above. I have always found their customer service to be excellent. Phone lines open until like 10pm, not a huge waiting time, and when you have technical issues they can usually fix it there and then whilst on the phone with you. I have been with most ISPs, ranking TalkTalk and Virgin the worst. My parents are with BT and they are terrible for them. I suppose the hardest part about choosing, is you're lumped with them if they're truly shit.
I've heard plusnet have really rude and rubbish customer service despite all the ads
Most of what I've heard about Plusnet is terrible internet service, but good customer support.
Plusnet plebs Be a virgin like me
I was with virgin and while the internet speed was AMAZING the support was almost non existent.

It’s only been 5 days since I moved into my new flat and I’m greeted with waste washing machine water leaking from my fire sprinkler and ceiling light. Fortunately the owner upstairs was in and was able to shut off his machine before any major damage could be done. Glad I’m getting contents cover sorted tomorrow. Cheltenham’s great.
I've just been to view a flat in Wealdstone and jesus dick it's like a whole 'nother world there. The flat's on the high street. I go there and lots of people are spitting on the sidewalk already. I meet up with the estate agent and go "hi how are you doing?", he replied with "good and you?" then proceeds to spit a snotty one on the pavement. Flat itself was pretty bad and cramped, as expected. Then on the way back to my bike I walk past a middle-aged lady and to be nice I say "good morning", she thankfully replied with "good morning" as well but then proceeded to rip a fucking wet fart a few steps later. For a moment I thought I stepped into some derelict Indian town.
Is this copy pasta.
I can confirm this is not copy pasta and is 100% factual. I also learned earlier today that there was a recent murder in that very town... why is moving so shit
People who describe themselves as "working class" or use "middle class" as an insult are almost always just middle class benders that are trying to sound hard
I've never really noticed any serious class rivalry in this country, I don't really pay attention to that kind of stuff though because it bores me to tears
Went to speak to the coroner about my father's sudden death yesterday. Cause of death was DVT. They are confused by DVT since he didn't have or do any of the risk factors for it. The coroner mentioned he's seen a few cases like this in the last few years and his theory is that it's linked to the huge increase in diesel cars over the last two decades. Why diesel cars are still allowed on the roads I don't know.
Sorry for your loss, I am out of the loop about diesel cars though. Something to do wth emissions or something?
Had a quick google and it seems particulate counts are linked with issues with blood clots. Air pollution is a huge problem especially in cities and the government really has to be doing more to tackle it.
air pollution is not taken anywhere near seriously enough and it's fucked, london especially is super fucked up.i shouldn't feel worse after taking a deep breath at piccadilly circus than smoking a cigarette
While I was playing that new Echoes mod for Half-Life I realized that the original game's final boss sounds like a demonic farmer from Somerset https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/246855/f60dcba9-0df3-405a-af62-c7dbb3488473/image.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/246855/c85c90c0-9b37-45d4-a1cf-69a683d96f8d/ohharr.ogg help

I maintain that the meal deal is one of the greatest inventions of our time. It has revolutionised my lunch experience by exposing me to a wealth of different styles and substances of sustenance for a very reasonable price. I hate to imagine the state of society if I was still required to purchase all of the components separately like some sort of savage.
If only it were cheaper to do so 🤔
First time I read this I didn't notice the "three months" part and assumed it was longer. Holy shit, how much sandwiches a day were you eating?! egg and bacon At least you've got culture.
I know I've left everyone hanging but I have a great update on the ongoing situation. My plant is still alive after I had to prune 99% of it as it had all wilted. July turned it from a large and healthy British Ivy into a bunch of twigs and dead leaves. But now there's new growth, two full leaves with more on the way.
Got stung by a wasp two days ago and last night it swelled up so much I can't move my thumb much at all. Let's hope some allergy pills help. I'm on a conference with 8-7 days so it's kinda hard to fit other things in.
Any of you guys going to the EGX gaming event in Birmingham this month? Never heard of it before but apparently it’s one of the biggest gaming events in the UK. I think normally it’s in London but this year it’s in Birmingham
