Yep. Didn't say the game wasn't flawed - just that there are reasonable explanations and I could see those scenes being so boring the development team cut them. I could see Cage writing a construction scene where the only thing you do is go in and grab a laser cutter and walk out 'because wohrldbuilding'. I could also see it being boring as balls (hello Dry Cleaning scene in Indigo Prophecy).
Happy mother fucker day

i'm going to strike billy soundly in the cock for that ending
If they it made a double-length episode we could have had the Dad of Boy LP end on Father's Day
Am I insane, or does Simon and the deviant from the intro with Connor have the exact same face?
Yeah it looks like they do.
Again, another problem you can wave away with "they're androids so it's ok" because they would've used the same model more than once.
Oh fair enough, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't insane since they haven't commented on it at all.
If I remember right, androids CAN have custom faces, but barely anyone bothers because it costs extra and why would you give a shit about your roomba looking different than your neighbours roomba.
because you want the best roomba on the block, why do people have RGB in their PC.
Because you want your roomba to look a certain way when you put your penis in its mouth.
Minor-spoilers for Detroit based on things happening in the LP already:
Also the latest episode seemed to imply that faces and such aren't really hard-set, since the skin can just be peeled off at will and reapplied instantly, can't see why that wouldn't be possible in any other configuration, like faces are something you download or some shit.
So hair is also just "android skin magic"? Why did Kara cut her hair then? Or is Marcus bald and has a fake hair texture on his head
I think the implication is that their hair is an actual physical thing, they can just change the color at will, not the style.

I hate how much I genuinely like Connor's story.
I'm really curious how Hank's gonna react to that, wow. Connor's great.
I almost wish that this game was just about Connor. It's unfair how much better the writing is for his parts over Markus and Kara.
Don't be, it's all because of the actor ad-libbing the good parts
Wait... but that should be why we like it!
Because it wasn't pure David Hokage's writing.
Wow... I never realized that. That's why Hank and Connor feel so good as characters! Because there's a bit of genuine humanity behind them!
Maybe that's why Detroit, or rather Connor's part, is enjoyed by many: it's not 100% Pure Cagenium.
Why doesn't your model number face look like your face face
I wish Markus' story just stayed about an artist trying to teach his android to be human through art as opposed to robo-jesus
Honestly the Markus side should be him and his "dad" trying to achieve it from a legal pov.

It's here
Did not expect that twist.
Pat still not knowing that Atreuas being a little shit was just him being a stuck up child and not the rune "brainwashing" him.
Honestly I find myself getting distracted during the Kara and Markus parts. It's just the same old Quantic Dream story; you've hit hard times and need to go underground, make morally dubious choices, and face cartoonish caricatures of people who hate and fear you. Kara at least had some neat stuff with the whole abandoned amusement park, but Markus' storyline went from "you're doing mundane things, but the appeal is 100% in the characters and dialog" to "WOT IF JESUS RAN ON BATTERIES AND EVERYONE HATED HIM NO MATTER WHAT HE DID???"
Conner's storyline is cool because I literally have several ideas where it could go; with Kara and Markus, it feels like it's basically gonna just amount to "do they live happily ever after or not". To be fair, I haven't looked at spoilers, so I don't really know if their storylines are that simplistic, but my point is that's what it feels like now, while the story is actually happening.
Honestly this is probably just down to Woolie being bad at video games (well, anything not SF). He keep jumping between "gut reaction" and "check everything ever" and keeps managing to hit all the ones that make people hate him.
Though props for at least trying to remain pacifist when every David Cage game that gives you these options tends to make that awkward.
To be fair, it was a fuckin' 180 turn in no time that reverted in no time, and the tone of voice consistently changed too so I had the impression something had come over him too.
