Pat doubling down on the HxH author's illness affecting his art was probably one of the most awkward things to happen recently.
People keep saying this but I honestly don't see it. The dude has always said dumb shit to get a rise out of people. He knows he's being ignorant, and no one should be taking him seriously.
Although I do realize I'm sounding like an Alex Jones defender with that logic. I think because it was live, he pushed that gimmick too far.

I'd say there's a big difference between "haha this thing sucks, y'all are losers" and "haha this guy nearly died and we could see it in his shit drawings". One of these gets a rise out of people, the other just makes everyone uncomfortable.
I dunno, there's times when I like him being a shit, but I don't know how going down that avenue would have caused any other reaction. Hopefully he picks his targets better next time.
Yeah I agree. I'm sure if I knew the artist I'd feel more strongly about it. I think he knows he went too far there, but there isn't enough of a backlash to have him come out and apologize or anything.
Now if he does it again, that's another story.

And to be fair, if you don't know the "trick" to make spiral fire faster (as Pat obviously doesn't) it's pretty bad.
