Glad these guys left on what I assume are good terms; I'd hate to see them have a emotional fall out. Still really sucks that the channel is ending, it's the only thing I actively watched on Youtube.
At least we'll still have Chewie and Fuckface in the Morning Castle Superbeast...
To be honest the shitstorms of the last couple of years have been really hit and miss for me. They're either playing the recent hype, and having a great time. Or playing some indie trash that just gets boring to watch after the first ten minutes.
It's a shame to see the channel break up. It's been a vibe I'm sure most of us have felt for a while though. Outside of Woolie and Pat LPs, the content was getting more and more hit and miss. Anything Matt was involved in was a chore as he just wasn't putting much effort in due to his checked out state. It really sucks, I enjoyed a lot of his earlier content on the channel, and his personal channel content is genuinely quite good.
Absolutely. This year's Shitstorm felt like Matt choosing which game to play then kicking back and zoning out while Pat played it. That being said there's only so many spoopy games out there before you end up in the dark recesses of the Steam marketplace. Still, it was the only feature that I still genuinely got excited for, so it still hurts a bit.

Waking up from a hangover to hear this shit, I just wanted it to be a bad dream.
The dark souls playthrough is what solidified me only really tuning into Pat and Woolie honestly. Something about that whole event put me off from Liam and Matt which is a shame because I did like them too.

It's probably really difficult for passive aggressive people to get along with Pat since he's just openly aggressive. If you can't put yourself on even ground with Pat and go "No Pat that's stupid" then you are gonna end up with a lot of stuffed down aggressive feelings you should have vented when the moment called for it. It's why Pat and Paige are such a perfect couple, they're both shitlords and love calling each other out.
I resonate with Pat the most just because my personality is similar to his, very openly aggressive. I get where Pat is coming from and I actually agree with his philosophies (Apart from exceptions like retail fucking his brain so bad that he thinks tricking employees into potentially losing their jobs was okay) and Woolie got me into fighting games. I'm saddened to see the Best Friends no longer go under the name Best Friends. But at the same time the blow doesn't hit as hard because Pat and Woolie will continue a podcast together.
That's what I think happened with Liam and Pat too, Pat is openly rough around the edges and Liam might have took things really personally went Pat doesn't mean anything by it. It's why those two specifically fought all the time
I think it's entirely possible that Pat would make things personal.
I really don't want to gossip, but he does strike me as the kind of guy what would take an argument too seriously and not let go of it.
Interestingly this is exactly how I discovered this. We're not clones or whatever I think. I hope.

That's a completely fair statement to make since Pat isn't someone who back down and would rather get burned, in general both of their personalities don't blend well so it makes sense they would butt heads all the time. I think over time they both took it personally because I remember in one podcast Pat was apologizing to fans for telling people to support a Kickstarter game that flopped and Liam was insulting him for it. So perhaps it's a little of both

My main worry is that without the large fanbase (and income) from 2BFP they might not have the cash to keep youtubing/twitching as their main thing, at least not all of them. But Liam seems to be doing alright, Pat too, the other two can probably figure this stuff out.
Yes and no, i agree with you to an extent and i don't wanna start a Liam hate-train, but Liam was REALLY quick and harsh to hardwall Pat's arguments and he's a bit of a self-righteous person. Pat takes extreme stances on everything, but honestly more often than not he's got some solid points.
I think it just hurts to know that Matt and Pat weren't friends anymore. To me that sounds like something changed and it just sucks.
Granted Pat wasn't even the first pick from Matt for SBF, so who knows, maybe they were never really that close.

Yeah, while I do like Liam a lot, dude seemed to go out of his way to make stupid fucking arguments even worse. Like, to the point where he was openly antagonizing Pat for no fucking reason. Like when you make Pat look like the sane one in an argument it's baffling

At the same time, Pat repeatedly being an ass almost certainly would grow on you if you knew him personally, so I'm not surprised Liam became more and more irritated by him until he decided to leave (I distinctly remember there being an argument on the last podcast Liam was on that was particularly heated). Can't help but imagine this also was why Matt left as well.
And the worst part is? They're all probably better off being separated. I love Liam's streams since he left and I get the feeling Matt's content will get better too (especially since he doesn't have the same LP obligations anymore). So this might have been for the best.

I wish I had a piece of fanart with senpai in it, I don't have much else to say that others haven't already said but it's been a respectable long run and I hope they continue to keep doing what they love

Didn't like Matt in any videos or podcasts lately anyways, i just ended up checking which podcasts he wasn't in and watching LP's without him in general. He seemed so disinterested and quoted and
rarely added anything interesting to say.
Pat's stream is where it's at, i'm glad woolie and pat is still going strong though.
wait shit didn't they mention new merch was being developed? That's kinda weird if this was a long time coming.
