i watched these guys from the beginning i can't believe they're going
Agreed.
But that's why I like Pat, there is no "bullshitting" regarding him. He's wrong, he know he's wrong but he isn't backing down. He calls you out if you're stupid and vice versa. Thats why Woolie & Pat is the
dreamteam Woolie isn't afraid of the bantz ensuing when he's calling Pat out. Matt is just being passive aggressive and sulky about it.
And I won't forget when Pat literally tried to sure for peace for Liam but it got intercepted by some passive aggressive tweet for no reason at all.
Pat and Liam running NieR was a fucking great LP, and I really don't know why people dislike Liam so much. He's odd, sure. But that's what anime does to you. He genuinely seemed invested in making good content, and despite his disputes with Pat both in their LPs and the podcast, they seemed to be able to make shit professionally still.
That and he was the one thing that brought weebtrash to the channel, mixing things up quite a bit.
NieR and Barkley are the two Pat/Liam LPs I know and I thought they got on great in them. Although I do remember a lot of arguments between them in the podcasts.
Is this what it feels like when the band breaks up?
As a fan of 5 years this was hard to watch. It's going to be extremely hard to find another LP as hype and into the moment as these chuckle-nuts can get other than GG(Which I got tired from Arin's side of things imo).
David Cage really is the killer of LP channels.
Hope Woolie and Pat will lp DMCV together on one of their channels.

Oof Liam, dropping insider info on the downlow. But not telling us what's what because that would be a genuinely dick move.
What info? Unless I'm missing some context, that tweet says a lot about nothing.
This sucks. I have really fond memories of their Machinima videos from years and years ago. Even though I wasn't a big LP watcher I still loved all of their fisticuffs/scrublords videos and seeing this just ruined my day. The worst part about it is the friendship not being there, as that's gonna make the old videos really hard to go back to.
It's a shame that content creation is becoming so individualistic with streaming and all of that nowadays. The whole draw of this channel for me was seeing a bunch of good friends having a good time together, and there really aren't that many places to get that sort of feeling anymore. It's just sad.
It has been a long time coming but at the same time they weren't planning for this to happen. Evidently Matt and Pat were going to record Friday Night Fisticuffs but through one means or another they got in a fight or just realized they couldn't do this anymore. Whatever happened that night, it brought to a head all the doubts and concerns and dissatisfaction and bad feelings that had been building up for a while.
at least Pat and Woolie made it out okay. Matt removing WoolieVs from his channel recommends seems so petty.
That was one of three posts he made basically saying "The writing was on the wall" in way too many words. It came off as snide and he deleted one of the posts anyways. Not happy with him today.
That's the point. There's no info, just massive hints that this shit has been going on for a real, real long time.
It's been 2~ years since he left. In hindsight, it's kind of impressive that this didn't happen sooner tbh.
A huge part of why I side with Woolie and Pat more than anyone else is they are super upfront about things. There is no passive aggressiveness or hidden feelings. They straight up tell you what they feel in every moment, good and bad. I admire that in a lot of ways
Pat probably would have said something stupid by now about what happened if it was his fault.
I mean not to long ago Pat was hardcore shitposters on his Twitter with no context and no one thought it was out of the ordinary
Given the current situation, I doubt any of them will be upfront about the internal workings of this happening- doing so just stirs up shit and makes everyone upset.
Of course, not talking about the situation also doesn't help, which is why I don't think Liam should have tweeted anything in the first place. Either way, today can't be over soon enough.
You aren't wrong but I also wasn't speaking specifically about this situation. In general I find Pat and Woolie's upfront nature to be a bit more appealing.
Liam making a situation worse for no reason? Really?
I agree, from the outside looking in Matt does seem like the bad guy here. Especially if you believe some of the rumors going around right now.
This is the end of a Era in terms of Let's Plays as a whole.
if the channel died because Pat was being a shit, Paige 100% would have suplexed him out a window by now. but she hasn't as far as we know so it probably legit wasn't his fault, or anyone's at all.
Probably got tried of TBF in general and people whining about him being drunk 90% of the time and playing with his phone, and when he actually had the control of a game you could actually feel how
dis-interested he was and people whined about that and he probably took it personally.
And he absolutely hated when people pointed out to him simple concepts he didn't manage to grasp (which I theorize is because he was drunk most of the time).
Remember Getting Up, where literally right after a 30 second long cutscene that explained 100% what to do in a section, including every single jump and area to go to, he immediately turned around and went the wrong way, then complained that the game didn't tell him where to go?
To be fair I don't see that happening mostly because they've been pretty direct and up front about straight up not being friends. There's not a lot to conspiracy about other than what made them suddenly dislike each other.
Game grumps was a whole other thing since they said pretty much nothing and just pretended Jon didn't exist.
A little off topic but did we ever learn what actually happened with Jon?
Nah.
People theorize that there was a fight, but they're on good terms now at least.
And I think Jon wanted to do his own schtick.
Man, dude needs to quit stirring the pot. This would all blow over a lot quicker and have less chance of turning into a Jon/GG fiasco without it.
