Also, I'm pretty sure XYZlatko knew she was an android, even if he didn''t memory wipe her. Probably just figured there was no need to- and there wasn't, since it was impossible for her to escape on her own.
why would you round all the robits into camps, they're robits
just make a bigger pit
Because CyberLife parts are a terrible thing to waste. Don't throw them into a garbage compactor, disconnect and carefully label and analyze all the parts to be reused later or re-purposed for the military.
You expecting Cage to write credible human beings.
And he went with androids and still managed to fuck it up. That's a feat of sorts.
Kara odd protective behavior may have explained why she wanted to care for Alice but I don't why her programming didn't went "Oh, just an android model. It can be repaired if damaged, like me!" and shrug it off.
But you gotta have the script go somewhere! You need that M. Night-level twist crap!! And my biggest gripe with the Frenchman of Sadness keeps popping up: Convenience for the sake of PLOT!
It really deludes everything and boils it down so much, it evaporates. Poof goes the Plot.
Altho I do love your idea of Post-Partem child androids to help cope with loss. But it's too wholesome of an idea for Cage to come up with.
So why didn't they do that with Markus? As opposed to just throwing him in a landfill.
Because the frenchies a hack.
Maybe the cop who shot Markus just decided to sweep the entire incident under the rug? Elderly painter tragically dies of heart attack while his son watches, there was no android at the scene, case closed.
The ultimate problem comes up when you consider Kara Wasn't even deviant and still assumed that the girl was human. Why. Why would an android think another android is human. They're programmed to recognize each other and have many, many, many different abilities in order to do so. Kara has zero reason to not think she's an android.
What about the other androids in the landfill? Some of them weren't even deviant.
I'm gonna chalk that one up to bad writing.
Even today we have electronics recyclers who break down computer components to reclaim trace amounts of precious metals, so it's pretty unbelievable that Detroit would have mass junkyards just full of valuable android parts.
Wait.
Why in the fuck did Alice have a fucking drawing of herself bleeding if she's an android and knew she was.
maybe todd drew it
The term "arc nullification" that they came up with on the friend cast continues to be aptly used.
Anyway, I don't know if everyone saw it, but Matt got put into the hospital on Monday due to mouth problems. I'd link the tweet, but Matt not only deleted it but locked his account too. Hope the guy isn't going through too much

Yeah the Alice reveal was the lowest point in the game for me.
Makes zero sense. Especially the whole "you knew the truth all along Kara! You just didn't want to believe it." thing. Like... Why? What wouldn't she want to believe it? Why would Kara, an android, have problems with Alice being an android?
KARA: I am an android! I am a real person!
ALICE: I am an android too.
KARA: What?! I thought you were a real person!
I suppose she's kinda easy to identify as an android if you're aware of the faces her model uses. Alicebots don't seem super uncommon seeing as one was just fucking hanging out in Jericho unattended.
That was possibly the clumsiest way I've ever seen anything handle the "BUT THEY WUR ROB ALL TIME" cliche. I could maybe justify Alice not giving it away if that was her commands from Todd, but surely she'd be deviant now by this point too. And Kara really has no excuse for not noticing she was an android before her deviancy at the very least, unless there's some scene on the ride home they just didn't put in where Todd tells her "don't say anything about the botkid". But then as a deviant she should be well aware of what's actually going on.
Ze bad game is real folks.
I can't wait to see how the friends react to the Holocaust part.
Wouldn't be a Cage game without a shower scene, after all.
Oh god I didn't see this part.
That's gonna be something alright

"Hi everyone, I'm high on pain meds", says Matt, cementing TMS as the best series on the channel. Sounds like this was recorded on Sunday, so it might be the last session for a while depending on how fast Matt heals. Here's hoping they finished Detroit then as well, or else y'all better like God Hand (and you honestly should)
I'm totally fine with sacrificing detroit and tms for more time on the god hand clock
I want the resolution to Detroit: What if Black People Were Robots?, but God Hand is just as good.
Pat said that there will be more Detroit and Godhand while TMS goes on the backburner a bit.
Boy I can't believe Matt was the one that fucked up the least
I'm honestly kinda dissapointed at the route they took: they missed the literal Holocaust showers for Kara's story, most of Markus' later stories, and especially the "Markus and North kiss causing the president to call off police". Can't help but feel their tune at the end would have been a little different.
True, but that's what happens with multiple choice games I'm afraid.
I'm in full agreement with their assessment of Detroit, after watching this and another playthrough. Despite it's flaws, I enjoyed watching it and probably would have enjoyed playing it. It had a lot of great parts, but the civil rights theme was really ham-fisted and its Cage-ness bled through towards the end. Definitely QD's best game. If they improve on the next one I may be convinced to buy it.
I'd give it a 6/10 (on a European scale) overall. Might have been a 7 if not for that dumb Alice twist. BTS is 3/10, Heavy Rain is 5/10, IP and Omikron is 3/10 (I'm being nice to Omikron for it's graphics and music).
Jeez they really fucking bungled it. I'm surprised that the bad ending is actually as bad as it is. I would have expected everything to work out even if you did nothing but consistently fuck up.
