How does colorizing an image reveal additional detail? Am I misunderstanding how colorizing works?
It might have been a very subtle difference in shade that is only visible in photoshop with some filters applied, but made much more apparent after colour is added to it. I have no idea how the black and white 43 is supposedly made visible though, unless he just ignored the original colour and made it black and white instead.
Looking at the original I'd imagine what they mean is that the research done to figure out what colors to use is where this was discovered.

Some stuff I filmed out of a train at 960 FPS. I thought it was pretty unique looking.

Damn, that look gorgeous. Something about the lighting makes it look like kind of like a diorama.
Fuck that is awesome dude
@Paul-Simon , what'd you film it with?
Also, science!

It was captured with my phone
Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
wtf, why and how
Eyes are cool, but once you go macro level it looks real weird
Eyes are neat.
We don't really think about it, but the pattern is completely 3 dimensional, not just a 2d pattern.
Looks really spooky up close.
And the variance from person to person is really insane. I've never really gotten any really sharp ones for some reason, but here's one of my shots:

oh god wtf that looks freaky as hell
You can tell the other robot inside your eye, it's not hiding very well. I'm onto you!

I once had a similar nikon lens and the first thing I did with it was take a photo of my eye too. Then everything else in the room because it's way more fun than it sounds like it would be
Man, these make me wish I could do macro photography as well, these look gorgeous. I'm kinda curious to see how my eyes would look with proper, crisp quality, but there's so much other tiny stuff I'd love to photograph as well.
