No, it's from a surprisingly good Syfy series called "channel 0"

I've always loved stuff like this.
Have some more then ' http://s3.media.squarespace.com/production/465215/5366925/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/ironsky_art3_nazi_ufo.jpg https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dO_SdW5EWDc/T94XThjFceI/AAAAAAAAE0s/eyuLirb2ukg/s1600/iron_sky_ufo_germany_wwii_spaceships_movies_desktop_background_hd_quality_2-1280x800.jpg https://lh5.ggpht.com/_hVOW2U7K4-M/S7joEroCaJI/AAAAAAABRw0/61Ehdz8rOjo/s720/4480739305_a32e11df2e_o.jpg The idea of a Nazi Ufo just makes sense to me. Also the word 'Meteorblitzkreig'.
Iron Sky may have been perfectly "meh" as a film but holy crap do i love the design work that went into the space nazis
I wish they had played the b-grade space nazis straight. Would have been better not as a comedy.
The whole movie feels like the """comedy""" was an afterthought. It could've been really good if it had taken itself more seriously.
I thought it was pretty good. A lot of the jokes are funnnier if you actually understand german and english.
Oh yeah, i both love and hate Iron sky. There's a lot you could have done with all that investment, to have it turn out as not much more than an excuse to eat popcorn. You could have played the Nazi's up as a pretty pathetically tragic bunch for sure. Like made them thin, pale, inbred and fickle after living in darkness and low-gravity, totally self-sacrificing and fanatic as a rule since there is no other way their society could possibly survive on the moon. Heavily reliant on sketchy medicinal practices like invasive surgery, cloning, bionic limbs and organ-replacement to even make the children viable. You kinda want nazis in movies to be movie-monsters anyway. You could have had so much fun with the concept and still have played it very straight.

Why do anime backdrops always look so good
Most series don't, your average anime series is somewhere between cheap and gets-the-job-done, but when you get good ones it's immediately noticeable. Here's a handful of backgrounds from a series I like. I forgot to take screencaps from the Blu-Rays past the first episode or two so about half of these aren't in the highest quality they could be. https://imgur.com/a/XLblOPy
begone ghost post
I always liked that original intent they had with halo, with wildlife and weird alien shit just kinda there, hangin' about. Then they sorta forgot about it in halo 2 on and as a consequence as time goes on, what should've felt like a massive open universe with all kinds of cool shit out there distilled down to an empty room with humans, the flood and the covenant in it and nothing else. Which would've really been averted if there were some other species hangin' around who just didn't want to mess with the covenant, or wacky/creepy half life style wildlife on whatever planet you're on. Always felt like that was something they should've follwed up on when the had the time and budget
Agree fully, would've been rad to have seen during Halo 2 or 3 another spacefaring race like helping deal with the Covenant. Cause iirc it was like millions of races or something the Forunner shielded and the only new aliens weve ever got since Reach were some randos that were a "fringe race"
Well there was that one room on reach with the giant angry animal thingamabobs that were never seen again, but that's about it. Also the skirmishers which appeared and disappeared in one game
Halo Wars (out of all games) was supposed to have wildlife in it. Tons of concept art for alien beasts, beached sea creatures and whatnot.

Now that's the future of weather-forecasting.
Its incredible how little water is needed to float a car or even a full size SUV. My local weather station said something along the lines of it taking only 9 inches of water to float the smallest cars.
it's needed to really drill into people's heads how fucking dangerous that shit is.
Sort of related (except this is freshwater flooding and not storm surge) but during the hurricane Harvey recovery, people driving their fishing boats down the streets pulling stranded people from houses reported occasionally grinding their propellers on things during the rescue. https://i.imgur.com/59Kwq8s.jpg It was cars.
The Weather Channel has done something similar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cODBQqaGTw
